Yes, a lot of posters like you who lack basic football knowledge ;) Last night was a doozy after that "report" from Josh Money lol.
Best to listen to me... as my call was we would miss out on Lukosius to Port & Cumming to Crows... & that Keane would re-sign. 3/3 so far.

Doesn't take away from your "call" that Rankine isn't worth a 1st rounder bruh.
But that wasn't exactly what I said was it...

You failed to mention the context of my quote... but this is not the thread to discuss this for the 100th time as you still won't get it lol!

Fyi - There is a reason why he posts more on this board than the Crows board. ;)

Would have thought Port would want to do the Lukosius trade before Houston one, as then you have more picks available for them to ask for.

That’s fair. I’m figuring by then Soldo is done and we have 2/3 future seconds available as well as I expect we end up with a first and f2 or similar for Houston if it’s Carlton . If we can focus on getting GC points next year that are equivalent to what they want we hold our first.

There again if north are really a chance I can see them paying overs for optics of getting an AA in as much as anything and then it’s all bets off.

I would expect GC to be a bit cagey about picks outside the first round for futures. The points changes for bid matching are coming in and plenty of value is getting shaved off. second rounders tied to either Port or Carlton could end up being pretty late and they're not worth much as of next year

that region of picks is exactly the are the league are targeting to pull out the value so people cant just draft endless numbers of players with a handfull of second rounders.

Personal insults ?

Can you answer the question. Lets establish what you would pay him for 6 years given you were happy to pay 4.25 for 5.
No one was particularly happy with 4.25 for 5. That was already extreme.

So yeah - any more than extreme is too damn much.

Hence why the Crows are out and Port got him. They're more comfortable with that commitment, and there's a reasonable chance they'll be proven right.

I'm not sure the bold bit is true (if you are implying he chose us for more money), but I appreciate the fact you were willing to give an opinion rahter than constantly avoiding the question as ABAB was.

The Crows are out because he chose Port...... the relationship to Connor probably had a bit to do with it, as did the likely role. The report from Jon Ralph was that the Crows offered more $$.

Personally, I'm very comfortable with 800 x 5 given the new CBA, and sticking a year on that doesnt scare me from a playing ability perspective, the only real risk I can see there is injury related. Maybe I see more ability in Jack than you, or maybe its because we are more in need of forward quality talls (and smalls) so I'm silling to spend more, but thats fine, we can differ.

Avoid what? I said a few more years is too much and somehow you now are stating 5 years just like me lol. We likely offer more money per year so $850K at 5 years but no way we would have offered him another few years. It's like you are trying to get an endorsement and confirmation from that what Port Power offer was good, no it isn't, like I said it's a few years too much.

obviously wants to follow in the footsteps of his idol- Jack watts

Reckon Marshall will be happy tho , will no longer be the softest player at his club

If port pay anymore than a second rounder they’ve been fleeced

solid back-up.

The Power will secure Gold Coast’s Jack Lukosius on a deal rival contender Adelaide believes is seven years at $1 million a season.

Jon ralph is reporting this.

Not a salary cap dump trade anymore.

No way (likely a rumour from us thrown to him), 7 years at $800K is already bad.

Somehow how I find this hard to believe... but Ralph isn't known for accuracy.

For his 1st years $950K pa as per his current contract, but the next 3 years will be less imo.

More likely to be averaging closer to $800K.

I can't see how Port has this type of cap space. They have been active traders for the last few years and when you trade you pay up $$$ to entice the player. If true it would mean they have to move Houghton on which makes sense as Lukosius is better suited to being a rebounding defender (IMO).

The salary planned for Perryman offer of 7 years at $850K is going to Lukosius.

Its going to be an interesting watch to see what they do around their F1 if Houston ends up staying. You'd think GC will push for it (their F1) with maybe something heading back to Port. IF it plays out that way, Port would be out of potentially 2 drafts at the pointy end (unless they end up shipping a player of worth this year or next). They have some father sons coming through and they will need them to be home runs along with nailing later picks for their mid to longer term success. A real cross roads moment for them.

Agree, if we touch our F1 it’s a fail imo.

They've invested in Lukosius and if the reported salary is correct then they see him as a very important player moving forward.

If we take on lukosious's salary, hopefully the suns accept a future second, maybe a jack bowes style trade.
