We don't have to use the threat of the PSD. IF, we gave up pick 8, pick 14 would be coming back. Martin is worth a pick in the 20-26 range overall

In no reality does GC waste a PSD pick to sign back up a player, on a long term player nominated deal, who doesn't want to be there.
What sort of contract: $s/term - how would that fit in your current list?
It's been reported that the figure is south of $500K, probably a 4 year deal. Most if not all of our player contracts are base + incentives
He's from Adelaide, given him 30 minutes to realise what he not getting in real time.
So will Martin fit mid list contract wise ? Be good value at that IMHO.

And I would suggest if you have offered a deal that Martin accepts then the onus is on you to get the deal done

He's uncontracted. He's out the door. 0% he stays. You need to get something for him. Or you get nothing.
If he wants to come to us, and reportedly he does, no matter what path is taken leads Martin to us. It's on GC to get some sort of return.
I think every Suns fan accepts that Martin is leaving. Actually most fans are happy he is leaving. His game efforts in the second half of the season were pretty bad. No point to have someone who is not committed and mentally checked out. But make no mistake Martin is a fantastic talent. A couple of games early in the season when he collected Brownlow votes show how talented he is. Can he play at that level consistently in a new environment is the question.
Yes, the deal gets done but you do realise that both parties have to come to an agreement. It's not only on Suns.

Think his good mate Cripps in an interview on SEN last week said it was great to have a player like Martin want to come to us and hopefully others follow suit (paraphrasing).
Don’t think the Dogs would’ve pulled out otherwise. Wouldn’t surprise me if Essendon come over the top late though.
