100 GIF by Fair Wear

100 games for Alwyn Sr…….YIPPEE!!!
Wise by the selection committee

Ruben Rode (24) and Matt Foley (28) two leading position winners for Calder in a battering from Northern yesterday (35 - 76)

Rode had 7 tackles and 4 marks to go with his 24.
Foley had 5 marks but 0 tackles in a weird stats line.

Allesio 7 (all kicks) and 3 marks the only other aligned player to play.

This is pretty cool.

We probably won’t have access to him but have been told Jayden Nguyen is an absolute screaming jet. Playing his first TAC game and he’s barely 16

Some grim stat lines for our Calder Cannons boys depleted through injuries and Championships boys missing in a 113 - 30 drubbing by the Tassie Devils.

L.Allesio. 11d (7k, 4hb), 8m - 4 R50
J.Ngyuen 11d (4k, 7hb), 2m
S.Clough 7d (4k, 3hb), 2t
M.Taha 12d (7k, 5hb), 3m, 2t, 1 goal - 3 I50
A.Naim 9d (5k, 4hb), 4m, 1 goal
C.Egan 13d (7k, 6hb), 4t, 1 goal
R.Rode 13d (6k, 7hb, 2m - 4 I50,
I.Kakko 9d (6k, 3hb), 1m, 1 goal - 3 I50

Interestingly, Josh Misiti hasn't played for Aberfeldie since May 21

Did Jobe have another child in the last week??
Thought I caught the tail end of a segment on Ch7 where it seemed they were congratulating him on No.3

I believe his partner gave birth to a beautiful baby girl

yep baby girl

he has been busy the last few years...

has 3 kids now

Do we get priority where the children are born out of wedlock?
It's not 1812 so you can in fact claim paternity without being married to the mother. Nyawi Moore is Lovett-Murray's kid and is a father-son prospect for us even without the surname... I presume the AFL ask for a birth certificate with the father named on it as part of the application to nominate as a father-son.

Sorry, I think I had this confused with Orthodox Judaism, where you're recognised as Jewish if your mother was Jewish.

just out of interest could you claim f/s in the case of adoption? where u were the legal parent from a young age?

Old thread but the only thing that really came up with a definitive answer;

Patrick Keane ‏ @AFL_PKeane
Gday Beast @CFC_debolfo Been a while since you were asking questions on the media beat. A father-son pick must be a biological relationship.

I’m actually surprised we haven’t had a furore over an adopted kid turning out to be an absolute hun.

Or much more unlikely, a player sews his wild oats and then 18 years later a club is gifted a surprise gun through a paternity test Maury Povich style.

It gets interesting when you start looking at things like IVF and donor conception.

I think as with all things AFL, they will adjust the rules to suit whatever they believe to be the most appropriate course of action in a given context.

aka when Sydney have an adopted F/S likely to go at Pick 1 and the rules will be mysteriously changed to accomodate?
