Universal Love Jarrad McVeigh 200 Games

I just wanted to be the first to congratulate Jarrad McVeigh on his 200 game milestone this weekend.

The way he has managed to turn an indifferent start to his career and the worst hardship I can imagine around is simply inspirational.

Who would of ever predicted when we first saw him play AFL that he would play 200 games, Win a Best and Fairest (And be well placed in quite a few others) and most importantly of all be a premiership captain (And a very inspirational one at that).

Congratulations Jarred McVeigh and thank you for everything you have done for this wonderful club!!!

Channeling Matthew McConaughey in that picture.

What a star he's become for the Swans (McVeigh, not McConaughey).

Leadership agrees with him and he's now our most reliable and important player.

Love ya Macca!

McVeigh has been fantastic this year, such an effective ball user which is a skill we need a lot more of.

A number of milestone games this year, we've already had Pyke's 50th and we have Kennedy and Bird both playing their 100th games later on. Shaw and Richards could also bring up 200 this season if they get/stay fit.

Dat hairline.

The ball couldn't be in better hands when it is in McVeigh's. Evidence of that would be his snap for goal from 50m out with a wet ball. I wouldn't back any of his teammates over him to kick that.

Has become a grand leader and tremendously influential and consistent midfielder. I remember someone (who I argued with, somewhat embarrassingly in hindsight) in the preseason claiming he would be a Brownlow threat. He'd surely have picked up a few votes in the first 5 rounds. Definitely been our best player so far this year.

Yep, very proud of him.

Intelligent, reads the play well, runs his guts out. Skills are top-notch. Always a relief when he's got the ball in his hands. (Can't even begin to count the number of times he's dropped down back and gotten us out of another tight spot with a lightning-quick and well-placed snap out of the mayhem.)

Always a pleasure to watch.

So glad he's now got a premiership medallion, and a worthy captain.

Awesome achievement and he's in awesome form, really stepped up as a leader (just wish he would cut down on the "you knows").

Fantastic 200 game milestone for Macca. He has been a true blood in that he's hardly missed a game through a minor niggling injury. Even though he's been injured at times, he has contributed to the team as best as he could. In the early days he was taught to be more defensive, often doing a job for his coaches. Of late he has become more of a two way player making him hard to play against & very dangerous if not respected by his opponent.
It is fitting that he held the cup aloft last year through all the heart ache he suffered through the loss of his daughter.

Congats Macca.

He's developed into an even better leader in the last 2 seasons and has become a fantastic representative for the club, well done Macca.

One of my favourite players in the history of the club. Such a fair, professional player who, like everyone at the Swans (excluding Jesse White :p) gives it his absoulute all no matter what the circumstances and loves the club. I'm sure he will make it past 300 games and he looks in career-best form. Congratulations to him on a brilliant, hard-earned milestone.:thumbsu:
