I would like your opinions. It is great news Jess has been elevated to senior list, but does anyone think it may be a bit of Carlton spin doctoring to look like they are doing something and get the heat off Denis. Surely with 4 weeks to go if you elevate someone your would play them. We have had the chance to elevate smith for the last 4-6 weeks because of injury to others but not done. I really hope this kid gets at least the last 3 games in the seniors as we all know he must be delisted from rookie list at end of year( can be re rookied but will he?)

Have to disagree with you on the highlighted comment. Every young bloke that has been available and earned a senior game has been given a run in the seniors this season. Smith, Bower and Hartlett are next in line, with Smith having virtually done enough to get a guernsey. Bower may see some action in the last couple of games, but Hartlett will probably have to wait until next year.

Smith had 33 possys today against ballarat, he was bloody good, hard worker this one. Also kicked a ripper goal, an absolute monty for next week against the tigers. Can see him rotating with bentick, I think this duo will be brilliant,

If he had 33 possessions he MUST get a game in the seniors nexct week against Richmond. Just as a matter of interest "kickgoals", where/how did you get this info, and what were some of the stats of the other players, ie Bower, Hartlett etc?

Was at the game, and talked to a few people in the know. Sporn also had 33 possys while jackson was very good with 27 possys. Hartlett was again injured, although I am not too sure what the injury is, maybe an Illness. Bower was quite good also not sure on his stats but he gave good run out of defence. Edwards continues too improve, got his fair share of the footy.

He will play against the Hawks tomorow if Betts doesn't come up.
Not likely, seeing as he played today. What's wrong with Betts?

Did Hartlett play, or was late withdrawal (hopefully not another serious injury)?

I would think Jesse Smith getting elevated would mean he's fairly certain of being placed on the main list next year.

I'm not the world's greatest Jesse Smith fan, as a footballer, but I hope he does alright.

He either gets elevated or delisted at the end of the year. I think the next few weeks will determine that.

Next few weeks are just a bonus for jesse as the club did say that they would only play guys that were going to be at the club next season. Sticks confirmed this at the long break after round 13.Why can,t you just see that the club are a big rap on smith, he obviously works his butt off and his form has been fantastic. The kid is only 20 years old and he is holding down the centre in the best side out of AFL. Not only is he holding it down he is dominating, as is evedince in his last 4 games.27possys 27 25 and 33 yesterday.
