Traded Jesse Hogan [traded with #65 to Fremantle for #6 and #23]

Melbourne have what they wanted ...they get to keep Hogan.

Now with all that clear air they just need to swing McDonald back or work 36, 46 & 54 & player into May.

For 3 smaller farms.

And you can instill pure fear into defenders across the AFL with Cox, Taberner and Lobb.

LOL.

I feel for Melbourne

Even IF we could fit into our salary cap and satisfy in player and picks...

Not enough time for us I would think to do a medical and have time to muster up a deal.

One thing is for certain, Hogan WAS a Fremantle supporter.

Eeks of them screwing up yeo and McGovern.

The laughing stock of the nation. How do supporters keep a straight face and follow this pathetic excuse of a club?

Legit the best offer we could have made in our current situation - for all we know freo might hold Neale to his contract and we aren’t able to trade our future 1st. & I doubt adding pick 23 would have made a difference

Just hearing that Melbourne never asked for 2 first rounders they would have been happy for pick 5 and 23 lol

This was my first thought.

Considering your above average BF pundit knows that Jesse is worth more than 11 + 2nd (ignoring injuries + off field if any) this is either ballsy ass posturing or the club has legitimate concerns over his short and/or long term future. Either is fine with me. It is risky as but I like it.
Exactly how I read it as well.

Bit unfair to assume Fremantle are making a **** up of it.

I can definitely see Hogan being the Eagles' succession plan for Kennedy.
We drafted our succession plans for Kennedy last year and both played a few games this year. Both played well all year for East Perth and finished not too far behind top in their B&F, ahead of many more experienced players.

Barrett saying Freo need to make Hogan’s medical history public if that is the issue.

This guy is scum.
Right... except Freo aren't allowed to do that. Surely Barrett being the fantastic investigative journalist that he is, can illegally dig up Jesse's medical history and illegally distribute it himself.

Hogan was an Adelaide Crows supporter growing up

Freo have ballsed this trade period up so badly
