Fisher, Polson and Cuningham look like they might make something happen around the ball at any time. Loving their speed and effort, even if it hasn't quite translated into winning clearances yet.

He has a place as a versatile experienced player

He has done everything right

Gets in the right spots

As a defender he plays tight

And seems agile too

Just one quarter but he has really impressed to my eye

Looks very good doesn't he? Impressive for a first year key defender...he, Marchbank & Weitering all look of similar build, similar agility and aerial prowess imo from a small sample.

Not sure White on Bruce is our best move
Pickett - looks fast, but only when putting in a late chase for no reward
Cripps - already gassed
C Curnow - he blew up early too - will see how quick he finds second wind
Cuningham / Polson / Fisher - zip and speed - they are working into it
Korcheck - lol - great taps then needs to find somewhere to hide

Still that 1 mistake that creates turnover and burns us

He always has some brain fades and gives soft frees though.
If he could eliminate those from his game he'd be a solid player.

We have some very good kids. Mcreadie looks very much at home.

2 extremely soft free kicks have been the difference so far. The umpires need to be smarter than this. They were totally conned by the Saints' players that quarter.

Cannot have those fades as an experienced played. With Doc and Simpson back round 1. I can't see White in best 22.

The youth playing well except for maybe Pickett who has been lazy at times. Do love Marchbank.

Jones takes a screamer but can't hit a target (Army) 20 metres away. Sums him up.

We seem to be more energised this week. Good to see some of the younger guys and their exuberance hopefully they keep it up and the umpires let the game go and we are right in it.

White was expecting Rowe to peel off for the handball, not run in for the block of the player on the mark. Was just a cluster.

Decent first quarter, Saints outclassed us a bit towards the end. Frees don't help.
