Seriously not sure why Weitering needed to put on weight in the preseason. Really struggling on the lead looks slow.

I really take nothing from these games other than the little sprouts. Cuningham, Macreadie, Marchbank and C.Curnow have looked good. Smedts looks pretty tidy with ball in hand. Seen a couple of good things from the rest of the kids too.
Skills are pretty god damn awful and it looks like we'll struggle up forward. Rome wasn't built in a day. If this is still happening in 2019 then I'll worry.

He should be getting it plenty in a game like this.

We would be red hot favourites for the spoon this year.
Going to be a long year folks, just the way it's going to be.

Only thing I have seen with less form at this stage is the umpires. Seriously, please don't umpire the game when the first intent is to pay a free kick. They are moving towards officiating the game in a similar style to rugby union where by the official has as much impact on the game as any of the players. It's putrid how the umpiring of the game is evolving.

Cuningham / Polson / Fisher - zip and speed - they are working into it

I think we need to be careful not to read into pre-season games. Remember last year we were poor in all pre-season games, including a lose to essendon. We then came out and performed well in round 1 and really should have won. I'm so pleased with the young blokes. I worry about a few older guys who are not up to it. I'd be shocked if White and Thomas are playing round 1. Love Marchbank, Macreadie, Cunningham and Curnow. Also Fisher and Pickett have class

Think you place stock purely on stats
Polson looks good. Has pace and moves well.
You need to look for more than number of touches

I hear you, I like the look of him and shows he has some zip with a nice side step.

Just wouldn't of called his name out from that half of football.
