Best game Jordy has played in along while. He's come back into the side looking very strong, the ball is in his court regarding the contract, it seems he's taken control of his destiny. Will be hard to rebuff if this form continues

Interesting dichotomy; normally a player who doesn’t sign until the end of the year is trying to drive up their value. In this case it’s Collingwood driving up their value to Jordy. Who would want to walk away from this club right now?

For me though, his running has been better than I've seen it. He's getting back defensively as well as getting forward. Seems to be the fittest we've seen him

Perfect scenario for him now and for us. Play his best footy and whether he stays or goes, he adds dollars to that contract. Fine by me, in our interests for him to be busting his gut. He stays, we pay a bit more but keep a potential gun. He goes and his trade value is that bit higher.

He was explosive tonight, and at times took on the Melbourne midfield himself. Just re-sign JDG, as it would be a shame and horrific for me, to let him walk out the door, and play for a side like the Saints or even worse Geelong!!! Just showed how important he is to us, and where we want to get to....a premiership!

It was like he remembered tonight he's a human mack truck. He threw himself at every hard ball and he actively sought the tackler just so he could break through them.

This version of JDG is worth every bit of the $800k and more.

And if he keeps playing like this, the board won't be able to boot him out of the club, no matter how much they want to.
