Eagles offered him a 3 year deal. Seems to me he will head our way if thats how keen we are
You've asked about him before - he's improved a lot this year working with Stef Martin.
Perhaps a Nankervis type scenario when he left Sydney to go to Richmond, you get more in output than the likely draft cost

Offered him last time or now?
IIRC it was a two year deal last time.
He's from SA so it's not like you'd be dragging him away from family in Victoria.

So the Eagles have offered 3 years recently?

If so that is a big hint English isn't moving West.

And Sweet knows he will continue to sit behind a very durable current and multiple AA ruckman aged 26.

We’d probably offer 2 years to keep as a back up. So makes sense to offer 3 to get him to make the move. Assume dollars are better elsewhere too although don’t think anyone will be offering a boatload

Most Bulldog fans think he'll move on. Port & Geelong potential suitors too. He's got that natural aggression you like in a ruckman

Port are into Grundy as their final premiership piece.

Geelong have Conway and Neale who are big 200 + cm brutes. Neale a ruck and Conway a ruck / fwd.

If he wants a clear run at a #1 ruck spot Eagles is his best option. Would be #1 round 1 2024.

From an outsiders perspective a 3 year deal from west coast seems odd.

Thought Williams has been quite good this year and they're not likely to play both are they?

Williams is seen as more of long term Ruckman/Forward.

Across half forward with Jack Darling winding down (based on 2023, this could be very much happening right now).

Ideal world - Oscar (FF), Williams (CHF) and Maric (HF) up forward with a genuine ruck in the middle.

What's his value on the trade market?

Obviously has bugger all exposed form at AFL level but we all know ruckman carry some sort of premium.

Hard to say Preuss had sweet FA exposed form and netted Melbourne a 2nd rounder (Was contracted) it'll be to either Sydney or Port whoever don't get Grundy Port currently have 43 Sydney 41 would say anything from 40-50 would be the range personally

And looks like he’s taking it.

Wow Port Destination Club !

Don't know how they are going to be able to get all of BZT, Esava and Sweet across but they will certainly find a way
