They may well do. Could also look to re-rookie Hams or NOB.

Thanks mate. It's a possibility. I liked a couple of things he did against Tasmania, but aside from that, I haven't really seen too many encouraging signs in terms of actual in-game play. Love the athleticism though.

Think David Cuningham is also going to be a strong consideration at one of those picks. He's got great speed and I particularly like his ability to weave through traffic. Think he could be a really special player around the stoppages. A few clubs will consider him in the early 20's.
Can you name a player comparison for David Cuninham?

Yeah mate. Here's my bio on him.

David Cuningham
Club:
Oakleigh Chargers
Position: Midfielder
Height: 183 cm
Weight: 79 kg
Player comparison: Luke Shuey

Cuningham is a really tough player to compare. His standout attribute is his elite speed, but he doesn’t break the lines on the outside. Instead, he’s more of an inside midfielder who just glides through traffic, with an array of side steps and spins that get him out of trouble. He likes to win his own ball, and with that speed and agility, he is really classy around the stoppages. Cuningham likes to run forward and kick goals, but he’s got to show that he can play in several positions.

Hope your right with Michael Hartley not getting taken in the main draft, would be ecstatic if Adelaide could land him in the rookie draft!

All it takes is one club to be interested in him. Not saying he won't go main draft, but haven't got any info on which clubs are keen on him.

Any chance bombers take Francis and parish if both available

Possibly, but it's probably unlikely. Think the Bombers are almost certain to take one of Curnow or Weideman.

How much information would clubs have access to in terms of medical reports. I am specifically thinking of Burton. Would they be able to request scans and rehabilitation updates?

To stop all the clubs requesting similar things and putting the poor kid through thousands of tests they get a lot of it organised for the draft combine and I believe just recently (or soon to be completed) they held a progress update for both Burton and Weideman.

I'd say that would leave the majority of the clubs satisfied they have the right information to make a judgment and any other clubs who want more and more probably will be unsatisfied and not drafting them anyway.

Yep, pretty much spot on. Burton discussed doing the medicals a bit in his "Going Places" piece on afl.com.au.

Also, I keep seeing Curnow likened to Stringer. He plays nothing like Stringer. There's no comparison.

What makes you say that? The way they move, how clean they are at ground level and their explosive strength and speed are very similar (Although Stringer is a bit quicker over 20).

What's the chance of the Baggers taking Burton with their third pick (if still available)? Another Menzel risk not repeated? Pretty good Intel the Blues let him go as they reckon they've been lucky he hasn't snapped in half yet (Menzel that is!).

He's a chance to be available around their fourth pick, but I don't think they would look at him. Fairly sure the Blues are more keen on taking Harry McKay if he is available at one of their first few picks, so that would rule Burton out I believe.

Can't see Burton going past the First Round. I just hope Hawks don't pick up Collins, massive flaw that is obvious.

Rather have a crack at Burton or whoever slides from above Hawks first pick.

Not sure that matters considering he is a seriously good defender. Hawks are lucky other clubs in that range aren't in need of a KPD.

Nice effort but I'm not sure Geelong would take Parsons. Reminds me a lot of Jordan Murdoch.

Skinner would be a great get for us assuming his knee holds up. Btw we will take at least 4 players this draft.

Interesting comparison. I see Murdoch as a far quicker player, where as Parsons is a smart, considered ball user. Think Parsons may even crack the top 40.

Yeah you're right, I miscalculated list size originally.

You are probably right - a moot point in that Parsons will go higher than our first pick in any case.
