England won first game in a thriller however may make 1 change with Chris Tremlett a chance to play but hard to see them changing a winning side

For Australia its a chance to avoid their longest ever losing streak and end Englands world record winning streak, only change will be James Pattinson in for like Brett Lee or they might drop the spinner given the conditions

Weather
Rain cleared, possible drizzle tonight

Curtain raiser
Australian Women v English Women start @ 3:15pm, 16 overs a side

It has stopped raining, and we've had a few glimpses of sunlight. The ground will be a bit soggy, though...

Finch has made his debut :p

Hopefully the wind keeps up, and the rain stays away. Looking very nice now. If it is windy it'll dry up the pitch and ground a bit more, which should make for a more interesting game.

I guess they really need the 2 hour break between games to get the ground/pitch right! Surely they could of let the womans play there full twenty20. And yes i understand they lost time at the start and lost overs as a result.

Edit: have also fallen in love with ellyse perry

if we're playing white get on england lolololo

would be kinda fitting if the selectors once again ignored common sense and lee, tait and johnson all played. hopefully White doesn't come in with his bowling changes already planned this time. i blame langer and neilsen for that btw.

I reckon Johnson might have a break after the Test series as they'll be looking to get work into Tait and Lee.

So if you look out your wondow do you Melbornians think the game will get under way on time? Just ondering if I should have a beer at mine in front of the TV or have a couple at the pub first

Cheers

Looking forward to this game, hopefully it's as good as the last one.

We lost the last game due to wayward bowling, and failure to capitalise on a good total.
