Club has moved him to Sydney and has invested heavily into him. If the rumours are true then it's setterfield we may pass on.
I assume pick 5/6 would be enough to get Marchbank (assuming GWS are prepared to trade him)? Could that trade come with say Steele as well?

Knightmare do you see Taranto going a bit higher than where you had him earlier? Seems to be in good form, plays through the middle as well as kicking goals up forward.

To me he seems to be St Kilda's best choice at 10 if the big 5 (Luggage, Brodie, SPS, McGrath, Ainsworth) are all gone.

Km do you know when the teams for the all stars games are announced?

Don't have the details.

When and where are the games being held? Will have to get myself down to the game.

Any link would be terrific.

Demand is high for Marchbank. I'm not convinced he is worth pick 5/6 though. The pick probably doesn't get you Marchbank and Steele, though add in a second rounder and GWS probably do the deal.

GWS would do well to target Deledio as part of any deal with Richmond if they can find a way to fit him inside the clubs salary cap.

Taranto is a talent who could see himself rise, but at the moment he remains in a similar position to where I had him in my August update.

A strong and consistent finals series is what could see him rise.

Around 10 Taranto isn't a bad choice and would be appropriate for selection.

Knightmare - I read things on Tim English and I just can't help but think of Dan Gorringe and question whether his blend of attributes will see him make it. What, if anything, makes him better placed to impact at AFL level than Gorringe?
Not who you want answering the question but in my opinion he has better skills and is a bit more versatile than Gorringe.

You mention bottom ager Morrisby, I watched him live and he looked very good, very good leading patterns and jump at the footy. If he grows a bit more next year could give top 10 a good shake.

Early days my analysis mirrors yours. Just needs another 3-4cm. If he does grow. he can be a potentially excellent key forward.

He is one to watch next season. I'm not yet going to say top 10, but he could be a first round choice if he grows and he continues his development next season and has a strong season.

English has better skills and finds a lot more of the footy around the ground. That's the difference and what makes him a safer bet.

He'll want to have more ambition than Gorringe, but that may not be too hard to do.

Let's just say that it's somewhat clear why GC let him go. May change but wouldn't bank on it.

Thanks. I'm aware there are other issues there with Gorringe as well but I just can't shake the comparison from my mind. I remember GC trialling him on a wing because his uncompetitiveness in the ruck contest was so extreme. It was predictably short-lived.

KM has Young Jarman moved up in where you think he will get drafted how has he gone after the carnival's

The more I see Jarman the more I like him.

In saying that, he is expected to feature somewhere late draft.

Maibaum?

Can intercept but for me more a medium tall than key defender at AFL level. Only 192cm and not a physical beast who dominates in the 1v1 contests, so I wouldn't consider him all that closely to fill a key defence post.

Athletic and strong bodied. Showing promise at WAFL League level.

Logue I look at as a chance to develop as a key defender but not a sure thing.

Given the seeming interest in my view of the key defenders in this draft I'd rate a top five of (none of whom I view as certainties):
1. Macreadie
2. Logue
3. B.Cox
4. D.Watson (Bris Academy)
5. Sproule (while more a key forward currently given his endurance and height may be able to make the transition. Has in recent weeks for Murray played back)

Other names such as Rotham as one example I view more as a general backman.

Still shocked at Macreadie dropping down so far, just cannot put my finger on why he stagnated in his development.

Has not enough development gone into him?

Has he not put in the work?

I don't have the answers.

His play has just overall lacked impact this year after showing some promising glimpses last year.

Perhaps the prospect of playing NEAFL for the next 2 years with no hope of a call to the seniors, isn't very motivating.

GWS don't have a great key defence group. There are some developing guys. But it's sort of Phil Davis then they're looking for that next guy and hoping one of their younger guys come on.

Key defence is probably one of their few holes where they could do with a high level talent. Particularly with Tomlinson and Marchbank both seeming to want out.

Watched the TAC games today and underager Joel Naylor looked awesome have you got an opinion on him yet?

He went ok after getting helped off yesterday in the 3rd quarter.

Showed some glimpses and kicked the three goals. Good height/size.

More improvement and better numbers will be required but at this stage looking potentially draftable for 2017.

Knightmare apart from Ainsworth are there any decent crumbing full time small forwards in this draft? Our forward line is sorely missing one

Ainsworth is more a marking small rather than a crumber.

I love Dan Allsop's game this year of the small forwards as a crumber. No one is cleaner at ground level. He pressures well. And on any given day it can feel like he can go off for 5-6 goals if you give him an inch. He still needs to become stronger and become a more consistent finisher in front of goal. But as a rookie he is my pick of the small forwards this year on value proposition he represents relative to where he is rated by recruiters.

What's your impression of the mature-aged ruckman Patullo, from Gippsland Power Knightmare?....Have you seen the lad play these past 5 or so weeks?

Draft-worthy or NO?

Have made mention of Patullo in a few of my recent weekly wraps.

Top ager who is finding the footy and going well in the TAC.

Not draft worthy for me but if I was a recruiting for a state league club Patullo is someone I'd want developing on my list with a view to develop into something like a poor mans Stefan Martin.
