I had Edwards inside my top 20 at the start of the year but I've now moved him down to around 26-30 on my draft board. I'm still hoping to get tape of SA v Vic Country from yesterday.

I suggest you watch that entire game & can assure you, that after you have, he'll be back inside your top 20.....Smooth mover & absolutely oozes class.....Will have no trouble adapting to the level.

So much Simon Black about him, for mine. Agree smooth over and so clean with the ball. Adelaide are luckily, very luckily.

4 contested possessions out of 30?

You think he will be able to be effective outside at his pace ? James Aish can't

He has to transform himself into a bigger body and inside mid to make it IMO

Crossley I like the look of. He won't go in the first round, but should receive a national draft bid I'd be expecting. Probably a mid-late draft choice.

Like him though. A big boy with scope to develop. One to definitely take.

I've got one in my top 3 that Cal doesn't have in his top 10, and that player I even considered moving up to 2 in my power rankings. *No spoilers.

The list overall isn't anything all that far away from the mainstream. I like that he doesn't have Stephenson or Higgins top 5.

Hunter Clark, Joel Garner and Oscar Allen all higher than I'd feel comfortable listing them on a draft board at this point.

*Note. My power rankings will come out early next week. It was going to be early this week but for scheduling reasons and with the final round of U18 champs this week, it's being held back a week, so that's something to look forward to.

Is constable in your top 3 ?

I reckon he should be close

A question for some of the wiser heads:

Seeing as this draft is deemed to be pretty skinny on talent, do clubs have to take 3 players from the pool or can clubs upgrade a rookie with their 3rd pick?

Yes. Clubs can.

Did you not watch it live and or have foxtel?

Hi KM, what did you think of Jordan Houlihan from SA?
I thought he might go from 25-40 ish.
Showed some nice skills

Neither and neither. I work mon-fri and don't waste my time with Foxtel.

Watching tape of the game now to Metro v Allies tonight.

Will watch Country v SA probably Saturday some time.

He's one of the good general forwards this year. Worth draft selection and the range you identified is also around where I'd feel comfortable selecting him.

Good leaper and has a dangerous feel around goal with a good marking and ground level balance.

Everyone's different.
What inside mids do you have above the Vic Country MVP, and best tackler in the champs? Outside of LDU and Dow.

I reckon he'll be a battler at AFL level. Wasn't a fan last year. Not a fan this year.

Recruiting is at least as much projection as it is current production.

As you say, everyone projects a bit differently.

100%.
I was just interested on your thoughts as to why he is out of your 20. I'm tryna gather his positioning. High in some and not sighted in ours.

Yeah. I just had a glance at your list on your thread. We have 6 of the same Top 7, so a lot of opinions similar, but a couple obviously very different. That's just normal for everyone.

In this instance we rate Worpel quite differently.

We also rate Sutherland quite differently. I have him Top 4 or 5. You at 17.

Hi knightmare
Just trying to get this years draft into perspective, would rankine, hill, king twins, Lukosius or any other from next years draft class go in the top 25 if eligible this year

Good luck with that KM. ;)

PS: How does such problematic analysis possibly provide any "perspective" to this years' draft? Wouldn't it be the other way around?

Who does brisbane look like they would be taking with pick 1/2?

Lukosius and Rankine would probably go 1 & 2 this year, and the King twins would be top 8 (probably top 6) this year.

Agree with Rankine but Lukosius I don't think would top 2 in this pool. Possibly top 5 but not top 2. I'd take LDU and Rayner over Lukosius, even Brander (actually 50:50)

Cheers for that, love your work
