Also, odd melt given the Eagles have a reputation for being a relatively easy team to trade with and are also one of the most successful teams of the AFL era. But hey, four years of being good after 30 years of being crap should put a little pep in your step.

As I said, the only problem with that is Bakes won't do it. He'd sign a one-year extension if it came to that. But I don't think it will.

Not true, I think he'd be a very good get, but not at the price demanded. Richmond are being absolutely ridiculous with their valuations, hoping other clubs will supercharge their rebuild for them.
