Hopefully WC has inspired GC to finally show some backbone and Freo to tell the Tigers to jam their request for the 2 first rounders they hold.......... tiggers are down and out, so stick it to them.

Baker will go to the Eagles, but WA teams have a silent agreement not to get into a bidding war. He is uncontracted and Tiger risk losing him for nothing (won't happen).

Bolton is a bit of a snook, playing up and the Tigers don't want a downhill skier in a middle of rebuild. West Coast won't want to pay overs from a player that won't assist them in a rebuilt like a Baker. Plus, they clear cap space for a war chest in a few years.

Pick 6 is overs for Rioli and wanting more is just greedy. Suns have academy players in the 2025 draft and will want to trade pick 13 for future picks. The other picks they have will go to this year's academy player.

Both WA clubs want Warner and Pickett next year and won't want to touch 2025 picks.

Pressure is on the Tigers.

Westcoast will wait to see if Fremantle trade 10 & 11. Then they may trade 12 & 14 to Carlton for pick 3. If they can stay ahead of Fremantle to get Bo Allan.
Then they will trade Barass to Hawthorn for pick 33 & Hawthorn future 1st.
Richmond get either 12 or 14 for Baker.

It’s more that Baker is mid career so he’s going to be much more useful to Freo whose window is opening that to WCE near the start of a rebuild

If both Richmond and WC were mid table then both clubs would probably be happy with a trade of pick 12 from WC for pick 26 and Baker from Richmond or something like that.

They were allegedly waiting for 14. Eagle fans would of hated that trade though..I’d say 90% of them.

This Weekend the Baker camp could do some readjusted and grovelling to Freo as we have the picks and approaching the “window” truth be told we’re not keen on him too. He is a 20-30 pick player.

Just not a position of need for them is all.

Baker wouldnt get a game for Fremantle, Hawthorn and would be one of the first picked for Carlton for example. Just a list profile issue
