Regarding ticket sales/swaps: The AFL Grand Final is protected under Australian law by anti-scalping regulations, which forbid tickets to be sold at more than 10% of their face value. Offering tickets at more than this will be deleted; continuing to try to scalp tickets will result in bans.

BigFooty does not guarantee ticket sales or swaps. It is entirely at your own risk, please make sure you trust the poster in question. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Would really like to know how the seat allocations were done, given many of us were priority 1 but are spread all over. And whether the fact that Collingwood supporters got the result of their ballot a day before us had any impact on our allocations.
17K tickets, roughly 7K Priority 1 members. Remember there are 8 categories of tickets so not many in each category. Random allocation down the categories, down to category 4, at which point it switched to Priority 2.

While no one is saying it, this Collingwood ticketing saga sounds very much like the Pies oversold memberships with priority access.

At this point I have 2 more (Priority 3) tickets - Category 7 and standing room. So far I've offered them to family/friends/Melbourne work colleagues but I would much rather sell them to rabid Brisbane Lions fans who I know will at least go some way to offsetting some of the carry on from the toothless brigade.
Do you still have one available mate?

Hi all. Long shot but I am looking for 1x ticket to the grand final. If anyone can help a fellow lions supporter out please DM me! :)

Careful mate FFB1 may yell at you.

Yep. My Dad missed out despite having an AFL gold membership and queued early.

I paid for my first membership with a nickel I got from working in the mines. Anyone who didn’t do that isn’t a true fan

I sold my soul for my membership. Working in the mines is child's play. Jog on.

Can't say I'm hugely enthused about $400 to sit in the front row behind the behind post but such is life. :( What's the chance Kayo will work so I can see what's happening when the ball is at the other end?
Zero chance on Kayo. I couldn’t even log onto Kayo from home for the semi final Carlton vs. Melbourne. The big screens are big, and put your earpiece in for SEN stadium.
Don’t sweat mate, you’ll love it on the day! We’ll wave to your from the top deck!

I'm such a cynic - I think all these debutants chasing tickets are scalpers looking for stock.

Need to work on my niceness.
You're first reaction is usually the right one. If was in a position to, I'd only ever consider helping out Lions supporters on here who are regular posters, well most of them anyway, haha!

They were just talking about this on 360. It's only going to get worse.

I'm petrified for when the Tassie foundation memberships go on sale. You're going to have to be a member to even get a seat in a 23,000-capacity stadium.

Any post about GF tickets loses me at the word ‘supporter’.

As a foundation member who has spent upwards of $11k on my membership since the merger (before that my Fitzroy membership) I have little time for ‘supporters’ who are seeking tickets.

I’ll be signing up as a foundation member. Looking forward to the 2048 GF Brisbane versus the Freycinets.

Yeah, I’m right there with ya, buy a membership!

Depends on your definition of 'supporter,' which I class as someone who's at least been member at some stage. I understand not everyone can make the financial commitment year in year out like a lot of us who fortunately can.

Membership doesn’t cost much more than a Grand Final ticket?
Soooo, when they come on here looking at buying a Grand Final ticket without having gone through the years of torture as a member, I for one become a little sus.

Been a member for 22 years (joined 02) and boy haven’t we sat through a lot of shit years in that time.

Gave mine and my mates barcode away after the quali final to a person at my wife’s work, who was looking for an additional couple of tickets. My mate couldn’t go and I didn’t think I’d be able to find someone else to use the other ticket with, given the costs obviously. I was also reluctant to put in the ballot early and jinx us Saturday night.

Regretting it ever since Saturday obviously, so if by some fluke chance anyone does stumble across a ticket or 2, please let me know it would be much appreciated. I can confirm I do meet the “members allowed only” rule, albeit just a very stupid member obviously.

Edit. I did find out from my wife early this morning that the 2 additional tickets passed onto her colleague were put to good use and they too were successful at getting GF tickets. Think that made it hurt even more tbh.

Bear in mind too that some people’s financial situations may change during the year..

Honestly not a huge fan of the gatekeeping here. Understand people have the right to an opinion, but to completely disregard a supporter looking for a ticket just because they’re not a member is poor.. We are meant to be looking after our own aren’t we?
