If they kept the 'PP' logo for promotional purposes, especially marketing focused at children and the like then it could be justified IMO (especially for those that want the design of the guernsey changed).
Going for Joel's match-worn one. Anyone else bidding?
is that you with the opening bid?
Mayyyyyyyyybe
hahaha, of course it is! it's alright, i'm not bidding on it! Just trying to see if you had competition because it would be pretty sweet if you ended up with it, seeing as you are his BIGGEST fan and all!
I'm sure somewhere out there there is a bigger Joel Patfull fan than I. I'm only 68kgs for a start
hahaha, okay, how about we go with most devoted fan?
Sure you'd find a more devoted fan than me too. I'm sure there's a tonne of old Norwood fans who'd eclipse me easily lol
I'll sign a legally binding contract with the Club.
When they agree to change back the jumper (or at worst, actually agree to ask members and genuine supporters to vote in an authenticated voted system) I will:
a) re-join as a member
b) purchase one of the classic jumpers (once it is voted in, which is virtually guaranteed)
Put that on a piece of paper, I'll sign it and provide my credit card details. I will put my money where my mouth is Brisbane Lions Board.
Come to think of it, its not such a bad idea. Perhaps instead of a petition, we actually create a form that can be sent in to the club. People can tick the boxes:
Dear Brisbane Lions Board,
My name, address and phone number is:
________________
I (tick the box):
a) Am currently Member #___________
b) Am a former Member from Years _______ to _______
If the Club changes back the Jumper to the classic Brisbane Lion design, I hereby agree to (tick the relevant boxes):
a) Re-join as a Member
b) Purchase one of the Classic Brisbane Lions 'new' Jumpers
c) Purchase another piece of Merchandise featuring the Classic Brisbane Lions logo when released
d) Donate $___ to the Club
I estimate that that would deliver $______ to the Club from me.
IN the event that you actually do this, you have my authority to charge the following credit card with the amounts above, and deliver on the items selected:
____________________.
In effect, by refusing to address this issue, you are costing the Club in revenue solely from me, an amount of around $_____.
Signed _____________________
Perhaps the Board doesn't need a petition. They just need to see the $$$$
It appears that the Match worn jumpers have a reserve price of $199 and if any go for this figure you've got $40 worth of guts and determination on top of the $159.95 regular price and that's a bargain in my book!!

Joel's match worn jumper against Collingwood, his 150th game, would be an even better jumper to acquire.
Do we know if there is going to be two lots of match worn jumpers for those players that play in both games against Essendon and Collingwood?
I am prepared to take this one step further and authorise the Club to charge my credit card for a seasons membership for myself and family on the 1st of January each year the traditional lions logo adorns our home and away playing strip and that will only lapse should any alteration to that basic design takes place without majority members approval.

Don't forget he probably played a good 30-40 games as Joel PatFUL.You're the second one who says Joel's 150th is against Collingwood (I think my favourite player might have problems counting), but by my count (he was on 139 games last year) it should be against Freo.
He sits on 147 so far, so by my count
Carlton - 148
Collingwood - 149
Freo - 150.
Am I missing something?
