List from best to worst

Still have to wait for our draftees to play this season, so we'll exclude them out for now. Doesn't necessarily mean they're in the senior or reserves team. I'll name my list later.

This list is based on what they have done when playing senior games for North, taking into account the little game time/games of certain players.

This list is what I feel will be our best to worst (most important to least important) that we have in our stocks atm, over the next three years:

1. Petrie- Future captain
2. Wells- Will turn it on and be damaging
3. Harris- Will be our biggest ball-winner
4. Firrito- Be vital bit of glue for our mid-field
5. Smith- Panache personified
6. Urquhart- See Smith
7. Harvey- Harvey will still be quite a star in the mid-field
8. Goldstein- Willwork in tandem with Macintish and be a hugely successful tap ruck man
9. Hansen- We will hopefully see the rewards for our no.3 pick, dahing from CHB and kicking goals.
10. Ziebell- Will make a pretty big impact and will be vital in his 3rd and 4th seasons in the middle.

After twenty, doing this sort of crystal ball stuff gets very tricky. From 11-20, there is not a lot of difference in the importance, I see these players being all very important. The top ten is the core and most of the middle, so I couldn't really not have anyone in there.

I've piggybacked off Paddy Macs and put mine in brackets, not to be disagreeable but because I couldn't be stuffed typing out the names. It's very subjective and there are very fine lines between so many groups of players. If I did them again tomorrow they'd probably be different.

I'd say so. Jones is a hard player to match up on, which is why he can kick a lot of goals, which was shown in 2007 and even this season where he struggled yet still came 2nd in the goalkicking list I think.
Firrito has played at FB/CHB for the majority of this season and last season and it's safe to say he has struggled there big time along with Gibson. Both have conceeded the most goals in the competition I believe. But this ain't there fault as they're been played in the wrong positions. I've seen them play in other positions at certain times and they've performed better. Hopefully Firrito is shifted to a midfield role next season and Gibson plays as a third tall/medium defender.

i understand that gibson and firrito leaked goals but come on our mid field was continuesly smashed, this is our number 1 concern in my opinion.
look at geelongs forward line?, in my opinion not much better than ours but when their mid field regularly destroy the oposition and with the kind of delivery they get, geeze i reckon i could kick 50+ in a year for the cats

and i can't see firrito coming into the mid field, they will look at campbell/thomas/ziebell in spurts, jesse if fit, lower and maybe pinch hit with jones which we have seen before

Very hard to do, and extremely hard to split two players at times. I know people will look at mine and say he is a bit high or he is a bit low, its not that i dont rate any of the players you might think that should be higher, i see potential and a spot in the 22 for everyone on our list at some point in time, its just the way i have ordered the players as i think they should be as that is what has been asked to do in this thread

I rate Adams, if he can stay injury free, he'll play a few games in 09.

Although he didn't get much of it, I was impressed with his game v Geelong in 07 and even though it was for a terrible side, he also won Tasmania's 07 B&F, so there's promise. He tends to be underrated because of his size and the fact that he missed all of the 08 season, but he has the football smarts to make it IMO, just got to hope for a good run of injuries.

Having said that, if I were to make a best to worst list, which I may do if I can be ****ed, he would probably be in a similar position to where everyone else has rated him.

That's because there are different positions and there is generally more midfielders in a list. As stated before, a player may not be in the best 22 players but they still might be in the senior team.

I'd have him around 30 as well, I'm just remarking at my own 'ridiculous' expectations, if he could live up to them he'd have the norm smith named after him but I know that aint going to happen. I agree with your post completely but just take your sentiments about his abilty, quintriple (word?) them and your where i'm at with him.
