Looking ahead to 2024

Reality is our midfield lost us the Grand Final. If they can find a way to improve and get better I think we will be ok. Some development of our small defenders would be handy too.

Thats a tough call especially when we only lost by 4 points...should we have won by 4 points nobody would have made comments like that.
The 22 all need to get better in 2024 otherwise we wont be in the mix. The good thing about our list is that 90% of our boys have their best footy in front of them rather than past them. Another huge benefit going into 2024 is that prior to this year only 3 had played in a GF...Now more than 20 have had the experience and thats something many clubs don't have as an advantage.

If we'd won it by 4 points I'd be saying our backline won us the match and the forwards played well

Our midfield has been one of our strengths all season but it was our worst performed line in the GF. Absolutely undeniable IMO.
