Autopsy Loss to Sydney - quite literally no words will adequately sum this up

Before we start kicking our own I would like to hear the interchange stewards version of events as they unfolded. Did for example the AFL interchange official f up by not telling north they only had 1 interchange when they could see 2 players at the gate? We’re they just waiting for the infringement to happen then pounce? This may not be as simple as is appears or how the AFL would like us to think.
They didn’t even pounce when it happened. They waited until it was in Sydney’s forward line to alert the umpire and therefore guarantee the goal.

To make it worse essentially 40 seconds of game time was wasted while these gimps decided to kick the goal for Sydney.

I bet if North won the clearance they would have called the ball back to centre and awarded the kick and 50.

No, they pay the free kick as soon tas they get the umpires attention. Used to hold a flag out, now are wired in to other umps.
Who’s this drug cheat supporter mask whatever on our board ?!
I reckon this was him & his reaction when they paid the free kick was paid to Sydney for the interchange breach today …..

You get multiple warnings and literally have someone counting the rotations. We just stuffed up
They should of called it straight when it happened.

To wait until Sydney had it inside their 50 to make the call is pure incompetence.

The waiting for a stop in play is absolute AFL propaganda designed to hide how much they contributed to the **** up by waiting.

They clearly knew when it happened so why wait for the ball to enter Sydney’s forward line to alert the central umpire?

That’s just as incompetent as our counting * up.
Apparently its awarded at the next stoppage but the umps are miked up so there’s probably no reason they couldn’t do it in real time, they used to hold a flag up so waiting until next stoppage made sense I guess, but as I say we are beyond semaphore now. The other thing that would be useful is to see if there was a stoppage after the infringement but before the umpires are told over the radio?

If it’s 19 on the field the umpire is alerted immeadiately.

This was the AFL’s way of saying, don’t worry Sydney we have your back.

What would have happened if we went forward and kicked a goal. Do they say sorry doesn’t count, free kick to Sydney and 50?

My mate just made a good point who do we think we are trying to get away with something. The Swans are experts at it and with the help of the AFL have this covered. However we will always be on top on the Premiership cup race with 1 Gold and 3 silver

It's interesting. The AFL rules dictate that an injury doesn't count to the overall interchange cup number.
Shiels (interchange 76) clearly comes off with cramp. Who makes the call whether that player is ''injured''; and is cramp even an injury, that would then make Liam not subject to the interchange cap.

Seriously if that's the. Case why make a change, a minute left
It looks like it was made after the Heeney goal. So why did the AFL steward wait?

A penalty like that should never be called over 40 seconds after it happened.

It’s virtually engineering an outcome to wait until Sydney are in scoring position.

That my friend is something I was contemplating. Imagine if Sydney had kicked a goal instead of there being a stoppage would they then have had their free kick from the goal line or 50mtrs from the centre of the ground?? Clearly North is going to ‘responsible’ for another rule change 🙄

Ive reflected on the game now. We did that to ourselves. Literally finding new ways to lose. The interchange infringment was ultimately our fault.

But after the first 10mins it looked like another insipid performance and the team changed gears. And i think it had to do with a lot of the changes. The youngest team weve put on the park this year. And they clicked. Sheezel, wardlaw, ldu, simpkin, phillips. What a future midfield.

I was actually thinking about that inc

Yeah out of common decency they probably should. But the interchange official will get a big pat on the back by the AFL and it’s whores in the media for following the rules. And the interchange stewards union will have a nice old laugh as they finally got their ‘gotcha‘ moment.
There should be a big sign with the chubby for each side and put it on the scoreboard too.
