Id rather try and get a pick somehow in the top 7 this year, pick 7 for a player picked at pick 3 would be better

I think it is exactly where the majority of Fremantle supporters expected it to be, especially once 2 firsts were put on the table in the first 5 minutes.

Think its more we're giving away a top ten picked player, and receiving a top 10 pick for said player, something more palatable about that.

I can appreciate that position. Melbourne were never going to get value for a player taken at #3, three years into his career when he decides to move to a club that finishes top six and the only other option can get the player for free.

IF Twomey is correct and the deal includes our F2 and not Norths then its an absolute win with Jackson and F3 coming back.

Assuming North are still bang average next year that F2 is essentially a first given the talent in the draft.

With those tradesvwe are talking about trades that were critical in winning premierships, which is a pretty high criteria.

Yeah..but doesn’t Melbournes poor development of the player come into consideration?
Surely having a player actually wanting to play at a club is part of the development process?
He’s worth less than his original draft position purely based on that.
