It will be 4-8-1. Will beat Richmond, but lose to WC and Hawks. Think we finish with perhaps 7-8 wins.

Nah, we are better than our record suggests. We are now the 10th best attacking side (after being the 18th attacking side after Round 6) and are the 5th best defensive side. When you consider our draw to date we are making progress.

We should win the next two so 6-6-1 before Sydney.

We have a number of winnable games in the run home at home - Bulldogs, Saints and Hawks plus possible Showdown.

Now think the two games against the Sydney sides either side of the bye will determine our season.

Was proven very wrong today. Genuinely thought a 50:50 game after the way the Eagles played the week before.

Well after the first three rounds our form line hasn’t been bad at all with the worst loss being 15 points to Melbourne.

The one thing you do know is this side doesn’t roll over. The issue is can they grow to be a top 4 team and challenge for a flag. That is the big ???

We drew against Lions, Hawks won easily, they aren’t going to be an easy game

Absolutely it won’t be easy but if we show the same intensity as the Collingwood game we should prevail.
Just need to not start in cripplingly embarrassing fashion then spend the whole game playing catch up

10 players under 50 games. 2 players still in the 50s.....

We are acting like the coach is the main issue. Clarko and Simpson not doing that great .... Not saying mistakes haven't been made, but this take is massively over played on here.

We are the 5th year into a rebuild from the ground up. Talking about making the 8 seems nonsense.

However, given the closeness and competitiveness that we have been against genuinely good sides, suggests some improvements over the next few weeks could just give us a crazy chance. I think the coaches writing that off now sends the wrong message.

The % ladder is interesting.
Bottom 5 clearly bottom 5.
Bulldogs & Dons clear outliers.
Now we just need to start winning the close games!

1 Sydney 150%, 1
2 Bulldogs 120, 11!
3 Port 117, 3
4 Melbourne 117, 4
5 GWS 115, 5
6 Adelaide 113, 12
7 Brisbane 112, 13
8 Geelong 110, 6

9 Fremantle 110, 9
10 Gold Coast 110, 10
11 Collingwood 107, 7
12 Carlton 105, 8
13 Essendon 104, 2!

Just on Essendon and Bulldogs - Essendon haven’t belted the crap out of any side (even tho they have played the bottom 5 sides) whilst Bulldogs have belted St Kilda, West Coast and Richmond and gave Gold Coast a touchup as well (won by 7 goals) to inflate their %.

So Essendon’s ladder position is overinflated in my opinion - they have beaten 7 of the bottom 8 sides (which inc us). Their only top 8 scalp is GWS and they have lost/drawn with the 3 other top 8 sides.

I do love the backtracking going on

Start of the season we had multiple posters say '' we did make the 8 last year'' now the backtracking of going into a 6th year and counting

FMD

Excuses. Bring back the days when we actually had high standards as a club.

Have the posters who think we are a chance done a ladder predictor? We’ve got no chance
Correct, even if everything goes our way we still are a game short
Essendon fiasco, draw and shitting bed last 2 mins vs Pies cost us
oh and not turning up the first few weeks

Add in the injuries to key players : Thilthorpe, Murray, Pedlar, Worrall , Rankine ... it really has become a wasted season

It’s worse than wasted, we will most probably have wasted Tex’s final decent year, we will finish high enough to miss out on the elite mids in this draft.
