I wasn't impressed when I read in todays Age newspaper that Hawthorn would only look at a young player as in Malceski or a high draft pick for Spida.I don't think so!!!!!!

If we let Malceski go, they'd better let ASDA loose in the office as the recruitment staff would have to be on drugs.

This kid has had all the development work put into him for what? To pass that on to someone else, dreaming (hopefully)

Don't worry. It won't happen. Mal would be a required player by now. And I seriously doubt that Roos would back down and offer the hawks higher than 3rd pick.

They might, however, get a young player who isn't likely to to be in the senior group on a regular basis any time soon.

I'm not even sure if the Swans would consider this, but i'll throw it up anyway.

Spida + Pick 24 ------> Swans

Pick 15 ----> Carlton

Bret Thornton -----> Hawks

Just a thought. :thumbsu:

Malceski is a no go zone for other clubs and I would hate it if they draft him for an older player

Willoughby, Schmidt, Moore or Spriggs. Nothing more.

I would hate it if Jarrad Moore was traded for Everitt.

Forget about trading young players Sydney trade someone like Ben Mathews.

Would the swans consider sending one of the above players to Carlton if they received Spida?

The Hawks could then give Carlton pick 24, and THornton would move to Hawthorn.

IMO no club loses, but the Hawks gain!

we have finally got it right. Jolly is already a premiership ruckman(how could he be focused after his wife gave birth) and now that Doyle is fit he will only get better.leave spida at hawthorn to get stuck in his own web of deceit. we don't need him as a ruckman didn't cost us a premiership.:) :thumbsu:

Moore? He just signed a new 3 year deal with the Swans. What would be the point in that if we were to trade him off to the Hawks?
Wouldn't worry we wouldn't be interested in fringe players. Its only draft picks.

I agree Malceski is a player I wouldn't trade, however if the Hawks want one of our best 22 then a deal that could satisfy would be:

everitt + pick 6 for pick 15 + buchanan

Yes we would be giving up a young preimership player but one that could possibly be replaced by a Moore, Schmidt or Willoughby.
Also just think of the possible player that pick 6 might get us:cool:

You need to give up quality to get quality!

no..

I actually think Oscar's suggestion is worth considering. Pick 6 would mean we would pick up one of the premier youngsters in the country.
