SAINTS coach Ross Lyon is set to become Fremantle's new AFL coach after the Dockers sensationally sacked Mark Harvey despite the former Bomber having a year to run on his contract.

In a remarkable turn of events late today, Lyon quit his post at St Kilda and Harvey was given the boot at Fremantle.

It's terrible when a coach with so much talent is spurned.

He took this team from nothing to being on the cusp of great success, and is sacked when Freo is about to scale the heights and finally be a force in the AFL.


He was just too nice for a ruthless club like Fremantle.
