You can't tell me a non Collingwood or Essendon supporter enjoyed to watch the game?

I sat in the lounge room of a Collingwood fan, our neighbour who is an Essendon fan joined us. We had a great time yelling at the set and each other. This match is a pretty new but very successful part of celebrating Anzac Day.

The game today was total crap.The skill of both teams was non-existent and then after the game when Sheedy said "let's keep it a Collingwood v Essendon game" I was really quite angered.Seriously on a day like ANZAC Day it should show the true quality of what it is to be an Australian,not this crap Essendon and Collingwood presented for us today!

So you watched it did you? Obvioulsy it was a success!!!!

Today was a bad game but there are plenty of other things to do on Anzac Day. if you want to watch it, then do so and just enjoy it for the game of footy it is. if the game doesn't live up to the quality or intensity you expected, turn it off and do something else. nobody makes you watch Pies V Bombers on Anzac Day.

As for the Anzac Medal however, for a medal that is meant to mean so much, in reality it means so little. Eg today, the winner was BOG in an awful game between two of the lower teams in the comp. at the moment. Surely there can be a better and more meaningful way to award such an honour - maybe the best player of the round?

I though we were pretty good today, actually. We were hard at it, and reasonably clean and crisp with our disposal, and our defence was fantastic. We kicked innacurately, and couldn't put them away, which was frustrating, but I think we were better than the 14 point margin indicated.

It was the kind of game, where we could have potentially kicekd 20 goals (like 2003), if we were a bit more efficient. It "felt" like we played very well, and could have done that, but we just couldn't quite break their spirit totally, like in 2003, where we won, running away, by over 10 goals.
