Just see the Stoke vs Swansea highlights. Allen is having a really good season for them, very happy for him. Would have been happy for him to stay but Jesus wanted regular first team football which is fair enough.
Joe Allen is way too good for a club like Stoke, still a bit strange that he went there to begin with

He's guaranteed a start pretty much which is always attractive.
A good player is of course guaranteed to start at an average team, but he can be a starter in better teams who play in bigger stages.

stoke arent exactly far off those sides. then when you compare allen to those who play in the sides above him he's either not good enough or very similar.

Are Stoke that much worse than west ham or Everton? I'd say they're in that tier below along with United
Still feel Stoke is average, give the players they have to someone better than Mark Hughes and they'll do far better
Yes Stoke is worse than those two I think, I'm happy Allen won't play for this Everton side. I think Soton's better than Stoke as well and Allen would probably start there, they'd go pretty close to getting Europe.

Yeah he could have gone really well at a Southampton, West Ham, Everton (not that we would sell to them) or Spurs. That kinda level.
