He shouldn't be back in for this game. Maybe for United or Stoke. But then again if Wimmer does well at Anfield and we win why change a winning team? If anything he could be used as a sub option if we look comfortable in any games and rest Toby or Rose for the final 10-15 mins of games
Wimmer would be stiff but I do think that once fully fit he'll waltz straight back in to the team.

Wouldn't test him this week. But home against United would be a good chance to slot him back in. If he hits the ground running thats a massive boost

Well that OP certainly caught me off guard... anyway, Villa Park hasn't been a happy hunting ground for us but there's no excuse for not winning this. This Villa team is the second worst I've seen in the PL. Only that Derby team that won one game were worse.

Apparently Jan is on the cusp of being back in the team (touch and go for Anfield). Spurred On debated this. Should he be an automatic inclusion once fit. Made the argument that we've only conceded 4 goals in 8 league games with Wimmer. I think he will get his spot back but stiff on Kev.
I think Big Kev should keep his place. He's been largely outstanding since Verts got injured and he'd be very stiff to be dropped. You would also think that Verts would be seriously lacking in match fitness and a bit of touch, but with us out of the cups I don't know how he's supposed to improve in those areas without playing in the league. Certainly a conundrum for Pochettino.

Wine, lose or draw my hope is that we attack Liverpool from the first whistle. Our key players will create enough opportunities so its a matter of converting them and being good enough at the back to hold them out. Might be a similar game to the NLD.....nervy, dramatic and controversial.

Never know what to expect with Liverpool - except the fact that most of their fans will be intolerable on here if they win :drunk:

Well, that April Fool went on alright, especially with the confusion, ha ha.

Pity not many more takes on the poll (maybe because it wasn't understood. Then again, I wonder how many people actually knew what I was saying.)

7 Cup Finals to go. Southampton are not going to be easy, but I'm just hoping for some comfort. I don't know how many more tense 1-0s I can take.

Oh, fun fact: Thanks to Joe Hart's injury, Kasper Schmeichel actually tie with Hart for most clean sheets this season if he keeps one against Soton. The pizza promise has certainly turned our performances around (Well, the correct answer is Fuchs and Simpson, but we'll go with the PEPs).
