Who else does the job then?Ahhh no he did not.
Disposal was poor
Defensive running was poor
Decision making was poor
Team play was poor
But when we have players above 30 who have no versatility, are a detriment to the team and hog a position for our future gun mids (Sheed, Duggan, etc) , this will be a problem in the future.
He aint keeping anyone out, he is limiting the experience our youngsters can have in the guts.Which gun mid is Priddis currently keeping out of the side?

Mitchell can piss off to a hf - priddis is in the guts or on the bench - if we bench him we are a man down in the rotationMitchell is limiting the experience our youngsters can have in the guts.
Wow.Who else does the job then?
Since when has any "gun mid" been languishing in the wafl?Which gun mid is Priddis currently keeping out of the side?

So when Jamie Crips comes out in a couple of weeks who's dropped?
Odds are that it's Mutimer, and that's fair because he's a young player that doesn't have as much impact on a match as you would expect from a senior player. Playing at the top level though is beneficial for his development and so far in his three games he has shown some promise, and it deserves to have a run at the top level.
It's good for the team as a whole to have some rejuvenation going on. Sydney 2017 aren't a great example, but Sydney 2016 were with the youth they were playing alongside the vets.
Wow.
Same tired argument.
I am glad you acknowledge his poor game though.
Shuey, Duggan, redden, Sheed, in the short term Mitchell.
All had great games and all becoming more consistent.
All have less liabilities.
Time to wake up.
Just getgoldilocks hair and don't take drugs.no wait.. what job exactly?! oh, the one/s of; butchering disposal, no look bombing kicks, plodding around with no applied pressure on anyone. Standing off packs waiting to turtle tackle, floating around the square gambling on someone else winning back the ball to maybe get a standing link handball facing backwards. Holding up play because can run off and carry, or take on defenders. Providing no real running spread or realistic leading outlet to a wing from HB or behind kickout. No marking target or goal kicking threat.
Mate, sounds like my kinda football role. how does one get this gig?
Since when has any "gun mid" been languishing in the wafl?
Apart from Judd who played 1 game for East Perth.
It doesn't work like that. You bring in a talented kid who develops into a gun mid.
Unless of course you list a mature age player who was overlooked three drafts in a row on the rookie list and play them despite their deficiencies and they eventually win a Brownlow cause everyone else fell over.
The players are in our side now. It's simple. When Nelson returns, drop priddis and leave Butler down back.

And where have we not given him recognition?
We have constantly said he is a great servant of our club and had a few good years.
Just pointing out that it's time to move on.
Matt has reigned over this extended period of mediocrity this club has been stuck in since 2008. I'll be glad to see him go.
This is true, he's been our main midfielder in the worst decade the club has gone through performance wise. Now in that decade we've had some amazing players in the ruck, forward and backlines and yet haven't won a thing. Time to concede that building a midfield around Priddis has been a mistake from the start and move on.
