I just had a look at the Glenelg site.

Same as Sturt, but without emails. All board members and staff listed.

Looking more professional than the AFC

Checked the WWTFC.

All office holders listed with some direct email address depending on role ie commercial manager etc.

All board members are listed with generic email address of the club.

I read with interest what Bucks, Whateley and co had to say last night. They talked about ticks, question marks and crosses of each of our squad. They all believe not many ticks among them. There is an inference that the problem is more to do with drafting and recruiting by the way they made comments. But they did also question whether the right people in place to develop the players. Given what I read, I believe that there is buckleys chance of getting Buckley to our club. The whole scenario is sad and it appears that there is now a real divide among supporters, reporters and past players. I hope like hell it is not quite that bad inhouse because if it is, we have little chance of getting another win. Just bring in someone to be a dictactor for 6 months to make all of the hard calls. As I stated elsewhere, a number within the club agree the place is a rabble, but have to "tow" the line externally. Let's hope that internally they are being loud (but may be being outnumbered by the "boys club". Was interesting to see the make-up of the Club's Board and their experiences
Where did you post elsewhere about some people inside the club not being happy?

For some reason the Victorian media seem to rate Nicks very highly after what we did in 2023 and aren’t deviating from that, so just blame our list and don’t actually dive into what we do on field.

Oops, I left out the word "may" between "club" and "agree". Should have proofread it. I previously stated that once a board makes a majority decision, that publicly they all have to sing from the same song book. To do anything else at any time (even when the club is going well) is suicidal.

Of course the Vic media are happy, they don’t want us to be successful as any success we have impacts on the Vic clubs. And as usual they totally disregarded the first four rounds when we only had two injuries.

Much the same goes for West Coast - all they talk about with West Coast is Harley Reid in the expectation he goes back to Victoria when his current rookie contract is up.

They’re too busy trying to get Bevo sacked for the 5th time as well

I think there's really only one poster in that camp these days
And I'm happy to be the outlier ....understandably mindless emotionalism has replaced considered analysis .....but that's why leaders get the big $$$ ..they're not swayed by emotion, but have the big picture strategy in place

Listening to Blight, he has encapsulated everything I have .....if you think Blight doesn't go to the beat of his own drum, and is a Crows mouthpiece .....you really don't know the guy.

There's really very little chatter in MELB about Nicks .....still a lot of support ......the MFC is the talk of the town, it's gob smacking that some would want Goodwin as a Coach

The only SA media that are going hard at the club is Rowey and Will Goodings a little. Dillon, Blight, Wildy and Cornes are pathetic in their analysis. Bicks is questioning a bit more but no one is directly dissecting and analysing Nicks coaching, it’s a joke.

Who the hell wants Goodwin as coach - Roo’s mate?

Roo? Think you mean Rowey.

I guess you can’t exactly say you’re starting a rebuild in year five of a rebuild.
No but you could say you are continuing the rebuild.
Especially when you say the list isn’t good enough.

So based on Blighty no coach should ever get sacked. So you know Blight? Blight was critical of us last year and then admitted he spoke to the club and has changed his tune since.

Now have you come up with 3 points as to why Nicks is the right man for the job?

Oh and you’re a lot more than an outlier……

“You can have these years!” says Blight.

What, seven of them in a row?

The way you know Malcolm is talking to an agenda in that clip — and not the facts — is that he’s asking you to tolerate something he himself would never have tolerated.

I wouldn't quantify some of the stuff you come out with as "considered analysis", but sure. Whatever you like.

Actually, why don't you use your "considered analysis", and tell us where the list (and the club as a whole) is headed under Nicks? When do you believe we'll next make the finals, and when will we be a legitimate premiership threat?

Either way, it will be clear if the current football department is up to it and able to take us into 2025. Absolutely nowhere to hide.

Doesn’t matter - unless we get absolutely spanked. Nicks record against good sides is very competitive.
The next step for the club will be to bolster depth so expect 2-3 experienced players to be recruited (most likely below top 12 as doesn’t seem to be much class likely to change clubs this year), hopefully a high end mid with our first, Welsh. And then either a senior assistant or head of footy to help with off field improvement.
I think the club acknowledge (they have previously) that they needed to top up the list with experienced talent. They missed out last year so will go extra hard this year

Hey stand in line, I am still waiting on Wayne's explanation on shape and 3 reasons why Nicks is the man for the job

So Channel 7 we have a segment with Crows coach having honest conversations with his underperforming players.

Yeh the coach has no responsibility?

The club is in full panic mode.
Saw that

Funny man conversations got brought up in the last few days and now we have hard conversations - but the club doesnt respond to social media and nuff nuffs

Yup

They are concerned with and unlike 20 years ago, social media dictates the agenda.

Matthew Nicks doesn’t have any social media so his awareness of what is going on would be limited and only from what he is told by others. You would think you would set up an account under a ghost name so you could at least get some idea.
