Is that the banana story?
Nah that was better. Long story so I will try and keep it brief:

2005 after giving shit to Port fans we choke against Saints and I cop it big time. Knowing that is going to be Showdown final I keep my mouth shut believing Karma will bite them on the but.
Driving to work that week, number plate in front of me? KARMA05
Listening to 5AA before the game, Crows caller rings in, her name? Karma.

The result, smash them in the Dream Final. KARMA.

Makes no sense at all to be Eddie. If as seems likely, it's Hampton, it doesn't surprise me at all. He's been a work ethic and attitude problem since his start at the AFC - which is why he's played so few games - so that he would be the precious snowflake having a whinge actually makes sense.

Maybe Carlton might like him? :D
Why would Hampton have gone with the group of leaders?
I heard some stuff on the weekend about this and it wasn't questioning work ethic that got some players riled... from what I have heard anyway.

They talked about people who have passed and missed opportunities i.e. things you wish you had done and how to translate that into life so you don't repeat wasted opportunities.

**Be very clear that this was not football based but more of a way to approach life in general.

To me it sounded very worthwhile but it makes sense when we know those uncomfortable were an indigenous player (I assume by now we all know their views on talking about/images of the deceased) and a player who relatively recently lost a loved one.

Also makes sense why people like Sloane say it made him a better husband/son etc. As I said it sounded to me very worthwhile but probably needed to account for indigenous culture and the fact some people take longer than others to be able to contemplate lost loved ones.

The degree of angst has been hugely overblown by the way.

I assumed this may have been the issue with some indigenous players, no basis, just assumed.

This has been blown out of proportion massively but it's still concerning that the club would invest a substantial amount of money into a program run by a "mind expert" who's only qualifications are an MBA and degree in Political Science.

I'm not disagreeing with a focus on the mind as I believe it is an area where an advantage can be gained. The Collective Mind however scream pseudo science to me.

Do you think of test tubes when you think of science? What exactly do you think "Science" is?

Oh please.

Evidence backed and testable are a couple of things that spring to mind and I'm not sure either of these can be attributed to The Collective Mind's methods. Happy to be proven wrong but I think all that will come out of this is that we've paid plenty of money to some snake oil salesmen.

Dangerflog just said on FC the AFLPA weren't contacted by any AFC players...

Crap journo, please explain

Danger has been a total professional since he left us. Never bags the Crows. Called it correctly last night saying that the AFLPA had received no queries or complaint. Just a journo's beat-up.

As a scientist myself, I always wear my lab coat and safety glasses:rolleyes:

They have worked with some big companies who are at the top of their game (RBA, Henkel, William Buck) so they have a few runs on the board (I don't know the reviews from these companies however)

Any evidence that they are "some snake oil salesmen"?

Good hypothesis, let's now see you test that with scientific experimental design, statistically significance assessment and conclusions. Then we can get it peer reviewed
