Re: Media "experts" with short memories.

lol, Derm (the worm) who went on to play for Collingwood after his own club gave him the boot.
Then he got drunk and went to stir Fev's porridge in Bingle.
No wonder he's bitter and pissed at the world.
And yes, he's still hurting about Yeatesy. :D :thumbsu:

Commetti is the one who shits me.
Though he hides it well as an AFL commentator cum diplomat he has had nothing but disrespect for the Cats since the '90's... One eyed Eagles man all the way.

And the medias bias and/or lack of interest and/or lack of respect continues with the article in todays Age.Lots of talk about Cwood and their injuries and players who didn't play on friday night. No mention of Mooney or Milburn who are of course premiership player!!

Still lets keep the lid on.

Of course. We had 17 premiership players on the field while they only had a lowly 16...

Re: Media "experts" with short memories.

An odd time for this to be raised.
There probably isn't a non-Cats fan out there who doesn't think Selwood stages for a few frees a game. But I don't recall seeing him do it at all last night where he was magnificent. And this was in a game where there were a number of obvious attempts by players on both sides to play for frees that weren't there.
Fair comment!

they are all sick of us winning and want us to go away so they can talk about some other team. It's as simple as that.
hmmmmm... simple?

Is there a single poster on bigfooty who doesn't think the entire world hates their side?
Fair comment!

Yep. Now we are the hunted.
After all, if Collingwood were ever going to be vulnerable it was when they were too cocky to respect their opposition and coming off a bye and sporting a couple of injuries and not having enough outs to make them cautious and copping a committed class side who had some unfinished business.
The Pies learned more than we did, but we did learn that we are not the flagging former fantastic felines as described universally by the press, but a proud bunch who wanted to prove something to the world and themselves.
As will be the Pies, next time we meet.

No to mention Shan Boourns! Taylor Hunt was proving to be pretty handy too

I like how players who weren't even picked in the Collingwood 22 are getting mentions! Meanwhile they're running around in the VFL clearly not even doing enough to get a gig.

It quickly went from 'Geelong won't get near us' (admittedly this was only a handful of particularly cocky posters) before the game to ' we only lost because of injuries/weather/we're only playing at 13%'

I think they're 'ON/OFF' switch may need some elbow grease
