Roast Media Shakes Head, Part 8

Just read that article by that Elborough guy.

Nowhere in the story does anyone question Port's handling of Jonas bump - nowhere. Just the headline.

BS Advertiser.

Reminds me of when Abernethy had some business hiccups.

“Former Port Board member…”

Oh, not ‘former Crows player’?

‘Trav - I’m hoping you’ll go out in straight sets, I’ve actually said I’m going to drink your tears when it happens but answer me this question…..’

I would love it if he did say exactly this.

You would have to wonder whether Rowe is suffering from CTE symptoms. A coherent adult would not behave the way he does.
Stupid doesn't have CTE or any form of acquired brain injury. He simply has an extremely low IQ.

It didn't take Greg Griffen long to get in on the 'let's sue the AFL' story. There he was last night, Adelaide's no1 ambulance chaser, spruiking for business. Fresh from mounting the case that never was for the Bond Brothers Griffen is now giving free legal advice on SEVEN News. Encouraging the AFC to sue the AFL is not a good move as it is bound to ruffle the feathers in AFL House and that is the last thing any interstate club should want. In any case Griffen possibly has no idea what is in the licence agreements signed by the interstate clubs so maybe Griffen should stick to soccer.

I seem to remember when it was suggested that Port sue the AFL and Collingwood over the right to wear out PB guernsey the informed opinion was we could not do it because of the caveats in our licence agreement but maybe there is a loophole.

It has reached the stage where if the media want to beat up a story they make a bee line for Griffen's door.

The more they go on about it the more embarrassing they look.
Olsen looked like a buffoon yesterday, whiny little kid that is owed something….. and yeah that Dawson non free against Collingwood in the dying seconds… it’s unprofessional he let all that slip out.

They look like amateurs.

Did you hear him say they’ve had a tough draw because they’ve played the top 4 seven times? Mate, who are you playing for the second time this weekend?

Well, bevo is copping an absolute pasting in the media, and rightly so you might think.

Compare him to daddy donuts
  • flag, first one in 60 years.
  • piss blasted the port power off the field in a prelim less than 2 years ago.
  • 2 grand finals
  • made finals as many times as stinky (including this year), despite starting 2 years later
  • overall 56% win rate, not much different to donuts.

Bevo will probably lose his job on the back of this media pressure.

You can't tell me that stinkers loss to Norf where Ben Brown kicked 10 and we lose by almost 100 points, is worse than losing to west coast with finals on the line.

The bald git is IMMUNE to media criticism otherwise he would have been sacked 5 ****ing years ago. Instead he's still here to (at least) 2025.

Caro was asked about the AFL's response to John Olsen's ambit compensation claim and said they laughed Adelaide out of the room before moving on to the AFLW announcement.

I heard Olsen's interview last night and his chest beating about what sort of things they were going to demand from the afl as compo. i thought then, he’s gonna say all the right things to convince the fans how tough he is, then it'll be crickets. The AFL aren’t going to do the crows any favours at the expense of other clubs, even us 😉.

Hang on, I haven't been following this very closely. What's this compensation business about? What do they want as compensation?
