Which of those years would they have won a flag if West Coast hadn't punted them? In 1990 they finished fourth in a top five, 91 was fifth in a top six and 94 was seventh in a top eight. They weren't winning any of those premierships.

I didn’t say he was right!

They made it to the GF in 88 and were playing finals regularly - he played along guys like Stynes who won the Brownlow in 91. I reckon he thought they were right up there and got humbled when the heat was on. 3 times skittled in the finals in your peak years by one club = bit of a grudge.

North Melbourne's top 5 from last year.
Not exactly full of champions but I can't recall Kane commenting.

He wouldn't. North are irrelevant.

West Coast on the other hand will always generate a reaction for his bile.

Cornsey is totally correct to many players in our top 10 fairest & best shouldn't be on any AFL list.
They are at best good WAFL players, but you cannot sack then all in 1 year. WCE will delist at least another 4-6 players & do the same next year.
The biggest mistake we have made is these ridiculous long term contracts with large sums of money to older players if they don't want to be here for X let them move on.
