Im pretty sure we are travelling above where we were last season regarding numbers (i could be wrong) if so well done to all involved in the club.
Well ahead of last season, we're on mid-February pace (tracking roughly from the 2012 membership thread)
Dec 31: 3,202
Jan 4: 3,601
Jan 16: 4,092
Feb 2: 4,400
Feb 14: 4,635
Feb 28: 6,200
Mar 9: 7,000
Mar 21: 7,703
Apr 10: 8,252
Apr 30: 8,804
May 17: 9,215
Jun 7: 9,476
Jun 22: 9,700
Jun 29: 10,000
Final: 10,243

Unfortunately we haven't got numbers prior to that to see the late 2011 numbers, and I'm also not sure when memberships went on sale in 2011 - this year it was late August, which is relatively early but smartly coincided with the last game of the year at Skoda. Having said that, there was a boost around NAB Cup time and a steady increase throughout the first half of the season which is fair to expect again in 2013.

Thought they went on sale earlier than this time.
Looks the goods. It would be great if we beat all the doubters and the Suns and equal or better last years figures. Looking at it so far you would have to say the supporters of our great club understand that success and greatness is not instant and they can see the potentional in the team and love the way the club handles itself. All in all its looking like another step forward for the club and with a full off season and a year under their belt I do believe we will not be spoon holders next year. Or even close.

EDIT .

wow this is pretty good, some NRL clubs would be jealous of this,

I'm a lifelong richmond member, just signed up for the Victorian GWS membership aswell. It was the song and the colours that got me. The victorian memberships good value, I'll get to see the four or five giants games here in melbourne, and go to six or seven other games at the MCG or Etihad. Lots of football for me this year.

I think Folau's departure might acutally help us sell memberships.

I think he always had a credibility question mark hanging over his head, and that was rubbing on the club itself.

I reckon we'll exceed this year's membership figure easily.

I the short term I would not believe this. Perhaps interesting to see Syd v Canberra memberships again.

The renewal of memberships were 'opt-out' (which was a poor decision for them) so having a high number at this point is completely meaningless.

I've just taken membership for next year and really look forward to seeing them when they come down to Melbourne. Just got GWS personalised number plates which I'm pretty happy about too :)

As the team gets more successful in Sydney more and more people will jump on board, same thing happened with the Swans.

Just got my first membership, the Sydney General Admission package. Can't wait until the new season and when we start dominating this competiton.

6,000 (+) reached today, which was the 2012 total just before round 2 of the NAB Cup. Again, they went on sale earlier this time around but it's tracking positively.

It's a race to 10,000 members, GIANTS fans! Get on board.

The Suns are aiming to send Sheeds to Bondi in a pair of Suns budgie smugglers, no word on what Bluey McKenna will be doing.

edit: the bet is that the losing coach will parade down their local beach (Bondi, Surfers Paradise) in the opposing team's budgie smugglers.
