Got my pack in the mail today - I like the look of this year's members cap. The training jumpers have a similar striping pattern and I'd almost buy one of them just for the look.

Theyve changed the Giants game so no longer a clash. Good move by the club and the AFL.

That would mean we would be well over 15000 members at the start of next season.

It doesn't increase in a linear fashion. It tends to jump - when they first open, when the autorenewals roll over, about Christmas, when the NAB Cup starts and then when the season starts. Given the magnititude of the membership count so far, it does make me think that we've managed to frontload some of the iniital ones, so the momentum will peter out later in the preseason.

Not sure they've really updated theirs this week, whereas our one has been updated daily lately. Still good to see us pushing them.

It would be amazing of we exceed GC membership numbers, I don't think to many would have expected that, I wouldn't have.

If that happens, then we really need to be competitive in 2013, we can't afford the start to the season GC had this year.

I can see us beating the Suns to the 10,000 target but would think that by the years end they would have the bigger total if they don't it would be pretty bad look for them

Sorry but it's meaningless if we have more members than GCS since we have the unfair advantage of Canberra memberships.

I would rather see our Škoda average crowd be larger than their Metricon crowd.

Not really an advantage when it means spreading time and resources between the two regions

Not really. Memberships for a club are memberships. We work within what regions we are given as do the surfer boys. As long as there is improvement (which as it looks we are having, and is amazing considering how we finished last season) then im a happy little camper.

I would rather see our Škoda average crowd be larger than their Metricon crowd.

That's like saying it's meaningless if they have more members than us because they have more of an AFL culture up there.

The people of Western Sydney are more passionate about the Western Sydney Wanderers than they are the GWS Giants. I'm sure that would have some impact on our membership numbers as well.
