In other news, Buchanen is back with the Swans at a coaching level for the swans academy. Didn't know where to post this

He was a brilliant player and I think with his knowledge and experience in games and Grand Finals will make him a great, understanding coach.:thumbsu:

Hope it doesn't wreck his reputation though.

Your avatar makes me so happy looking at it. Anyone else get this orrr?

And if anyone's in doubt what Uni students do on a Wednesday afternoon.....

2 days a week, full-time double degree. Hating?

Lucky SOB, I'm technically in four days because they refuse to release the recordings of lectures, but cos of work bailing on my Thursday lecture, bloody hate it.

MOL would be a good coach. I kinda like the idea of him taking over from Horse, but I'd much prefer Kirk, think he'd make a better coach on the inspirational front.

Co-coaches anyone? Anyone? ...

I'm genuinely waiting for the day when a club has separate coaches for strategy and man management. A la Football with their Coaches and Managers... makes much more sense. Have Kirk for the rev ups and the motivational talks, and Mickey for the tactics and off-field leadership.

The business manager me in says "what!? More labour??"
In light of the paltry profits SSFC is turning over, I doubt the club can afford it!

With the amount of money spent on our Football Department? Really? I'm fairly sure we're one of the highest spenders on that area of our game.

It will be interesting to see how quick it takes Mick and Kirk to attract senior opportunities in tms of being a head coach somewhe. Mick has said he wants to be a senior coach having had a lot of experience coaching young players but none at a club while Kirk, we assume, would be a natural fit as a coach and has made the first step towards doing that.

I have a feeling if Mick became the first indigenous senior coach in the league, that would mean more than just about anything else he has done professionally. I'm cheering hard for him (he wasmy favourie player for a loooong time) and even if he can't be a Swans coach, I want him to succeed somewhere.
