Thoughts.

You need to get thier average,

Palmer and cotchin are def the stand outs,

but all of them i can see becomeing stars all very good players.

Ahhh?

no, cyril rioli has not been the best this year.

TBH i think SC is a shocking way to judge a player as it doesn't tell you what they have actually done in the game. Big deal if they have hit a target in the back 50 or got some garbage time crap.

You cannot judge the recruits on their SC value no matter what their stats are.

Yeah, you really need to have a weighting system - forwards and shut-down defenders getting extra value, midfielders down...

Though I'm amazed Cyril tops it. Happy, but amazed, I thought Palmer had wiped the floor this year.

am working out the averages now, will have them up asap.

their would be no way to really determine, or weight the numbers in favour of mids or whatever, i am not a sc expert, so i cannot weight them, sorry to disapoint, although, i still tend to think that the SC scoring system, gives a true indication of how the player plays, hits targets, tackles, blokes, goals, score assists, rebound 50's, inside 50's.

couldnt be bothered going back and getting how many games they have played and all that. but here are the averages before the start of round 17.

ha, i remember that thread. still it would be fair to say he has exceeded most poeples expectations this year. i had real doubts after he spent his first season playing wafl reserves

Just goes to show its foolish it is to write off an 18yo kid in his first year. Can't judge players until they have been in the system a few years.

Any reason Houli isn't listed? According to footywire, he's averaging 84.2 SC points in 2008, from 10 games played.

I did not include him, as he was not listed in the top 40, although, i will admit, to all BF users that, I missed him.

Here are his stats.

842 points (11th on list) @ 84.20 (1st on list)

ranking him

is this supposed to be 2007 draftees? or just young players? because tom hawkins, ryan gamble, leroy jetta and j riewoldt are not 2007 draftees

Was initially thought of doing the 2007 draftees, then i thought i would do more and do the 'rising stars' although some players are quesitonable.
