It's coming and every man and his dog on this site seems to have the cure to the malady. But who will actually front up and put their money where their mouth is?

Who is going and will they talk?

I have no issue with questions being asked as they need to be, but I'd like to see who will actually present their issues as expanded upon here in the threads.

The cure? We have nothing to cure. We have issues such as too many injuries, gaps in the list etc.. like many clubs. But there is no Malady that needs curing, just patience.

One question I would love someone to ask is if VFL coverage is in the works and if not, why not? There was talk of an exclusively Collingwood TV channel at one point which would be great, but for a start VFL coverage just streamed off the Collingwood website would be great.

The forum won't change a thing. They aren't going to listen to the fans it's just P.R. It's all about making money.
OMG, two things we agree on, Fasolo and doubting that much will change.

C'mon TG, what do you expect the club to do?

You'd be the first to howl the club down (quite rightfully) if ...

Buckley: "Look, we're kind of trying to figure out who we should delist this off season, and thought we'd put it to the members. We'll read out the player list now you lot just yell out "keep" or "delist" after each name".

Pert: "We're starting to get a bit worried about our injury profile and thought we'd bring the members together to ask if they've got any ideas"

Eddie: "Hey, thought we'd just ask the members what our objectives as a club should be. Do you want us to keep trying to win Premierships? Or should we be focusing on other things?"

I can assure you that the club will listen and take on board any feedback about match day experience or membership issues - but if you expect the stuff about the football department to be anything more than an information session then you're being unreasonable.

It's all about making money.

For whom? Who is getting all this money?

For whom? Who is getting all this money?

They will have an idea what's going to be asked and have stock standard answers ready to go. Not that's it's a bad thing.

By money making I mean they are doing it to keep members happy by giving the sales pitch for next season, a sort of stick by us and pay up again in 2015 they shouldn't need to do. I'll sign up again next season and each season until I die no matter no bad things became.

By doing the forum they can say we gave the members something.

We heard the sales pitch at the Copelnd last season with Eddie giving us his side by side speech about how we are getting rid of the players that aren't side by side with us anymore. Eddie was very bullish about how it would change direction we were going in 2014.

All in all it won't change much we will walk out filling warm and fuzzy until it all starts again in March

For me personally unless we recruit drastically and bring a new coaching panel in for 2015 I'll be expecting something similar to this years output.

Get ready for the spin and rhetoric...

"We're tracking alright..losing Maxwell...our young list...injuries to high profile players...the future is exciting...it's been a great opportunity this year..."

Then they will find a positive statistic like '#1 in clearances in the first ten minutes of games that we need to capitalise on'

and just like the past three years, I want to know why we don't have a game plan to clear the ball from a kick-in like other teams do.

This is a huge PR exercise that two of the smoothest and most savvy media operators, Eddie and Bucks, will control so we can feel good about ourselves.

I can't be there but I hope someone from here will relay a good Q and A account.

Respect :thumbsu:

Indeed, they probably will.

But I could imagine that Pert could pretty much ad-lib answer any question about the club. It's his job to know what's going on.

Yes, but all the money they make goes into running the club we support. It's a worthy cause.

By doing the forum they can say we gave the members something.

They can also provide the members with information that allows them to have more informed opinions.

If you went up to the microphone on Monday night and said "Hi, my name is THATSGOLD , member 12345, Question for Ed: I appreciate that our team has been badly affected by injuries over the last three seasons, and that our team sheets have featured young players. And I also appreciate that Nathan Buckley is a champion of the club as a player and he always will be. But respectfully, can you explain why you think he is the best person qualified to deliver Collingwood its 16th Premiership?" ... I'm sure many people would be interested to hear the answer to that.

I would like to ask, now that we have got rid of all our elder players (Dane Swan is our oldest and hardly a leader, followed by Lumumba, Clinton Young and Sam Dwyer  ) who besides Pendles is actually a leader? We don't have any AT ALL! Are we going to recruit some to help our younger players? In my opinion its the biggest problem at the club by miles.

I will be there and will ask 2 questions that I personally want answered for me only.
1. Why are we constantly recruiting smalls?
2. Will we focus on drafting players with good kicking skills/efficiency like hawthorn?

And if I have time I will also ask why we have no players that can kick 50 meters and why we have to walk it in to the goals.

Can you also ask why our forwards don't lead a) hard enough and b) often enough.
Also why they don't create space or block for each other?
