Mumford out for 2

You are a tool. Crawl back under that rock you came from.

Shouldn't of been reported, no question but that isn't Garry's fault.

Letting your Geelong bias get the better of you eh?

Even Blind Freddie would tell you that if Mumford wasn't a Swans player he would never have got reported.

He also wouldn't have been reported if it wasn't Gary Ablett or any other prettyboy player like Riewoldt,Dale Thomas etc.

I thought the same thing after the loss against St.Kilda at ANZ Stadium.

The Saints got a free kick after Riewoldt got tackled yet nothing happened after Zac Dawson knocked out Tadhg Kennelly.

If anybody is a tool it's you, you can't even spell Gary Ablett's name right.

Mumford getting suspended for that, pffffttt. Give me break.

alas, no word of an appeal. I guess its not going happen. Damn, that does not seem right. Having trouble letting go of this.

Me too. I really am finding it difficult not just because it is us but because in general this is a bad "image". And also because of the obvious lack of fairness with the Hayes and the ROK tackles not being looked at even. I dont know I just feel like we have been harshly done by.

Haven't you heard mate? The Swans get lucky at the tribunal/MRP every single time, so whenever we get one up for the MRP, they must act tough, to shut the so-called Bigfooty experts up.

Club is appealing.. the said they would on FB?!

That's good to hear. The club needs to appeal that, or the boys are going to be worried that if they tackle the big names in the game, they might get rubbed out for a few weeks. But we'll probably lose the appeal. I suspect the MRP would not have made such a soft decision if they had not been assured by Demetri that they would not be overturned.

If the Mumford decision stands, at least Pyke is standing up for us. In my eyes, his performance was one of the few bright spots in that game, along with a good game from Nick Smith and Mumford, and good signs from Rohan, Jetta and White. If Mumford doesn't play, I think that Pyke will perform very well and win a few best on ground votes.

2 points:
1. Mummy (like Shaw before him) is finding out how umpires really treat the Swans. Fraud.
2. I disgaree that the tribunal is being inconsistent. Several players from other clubs did the same but worse - and no citing or suspension. A Swans player, however, is cited and suspended. That is absolutely consistent with how the Swans are treated in the VFL.

I think all the conspiracy theories are way wide of the mark. I do wonder whether the incident would have been looked at the same way had it been a lesser player tackled, but as a club we've fared reasonably well at the tribunal over recent years compared to some other clubs. Every so often, the tribunal pulls a decision out of its backside but I can't recall us copping one of those recently (until now, of course).

I don't know if I'm alone but watching matches over the weekend I found myself finding so many tackles exactly the same as Mumfords where the player was lifted in an arcing motion and brought to ground. Difference was there noggins didn't hit the dirt. 3 weeks for giving Ablett a headache and super powers to kill us in the following 30 minutes is deplorable.

I shouldn't still be going on about this but it sure makes me angry. Only positive is when other supporters crap on about Sydney and their up the bum relationship with the tribunal I can stick Mumford into their narrow view point.

You're right, there were a few more that looked just as "bad" or really similar to what Mummy did. What a joke of a decision. However, we erred by not appealing.

Then David Hille gets off 3 times in a row for charges that looked very clumsy and rough. Not saying he should have been suspended each time, but if Mumford gets knocked for 2 for what he did, Hill deserves a few weeks for his charges. They were more malicious than what Mumford did.

MRP is truly a joke right now and i dont know how they can defend themselves over some of their decisions.

True that. He would be getting the "sniper" calls form everywhere again. Dunno how Dawson got off that one, looked pretty similar to what Waite did IMO.
