Hehe, wise advice. Even at full strength I'd stay clear of punting against Melbourne. It's like looking at the sun, you know you want to but you shouldn't when these two play.
 
Hopefully we punish teams like this when we play them.
Big confidence boost.
And it's not even like we relied on Cooney, Chapman or Goddard!
The young ones stood up.
 
McKernan had a pretty good half. Held his own in the ruck and was far better at ground level than Giles. Liked his agression when he played the ball. Giles may have a contest for the no.2 ruck position which is a good thing.
I thought the same thing. A fit 2013 style bellchambers is an easy 1st but these two fighting for second means we should be able to make a good ruck combo.
