Dirtymop fred. He secretly loves Pendles even more than his false god, the one they call 'Dusty'.

As I said, consistently very good for a very long time. Ceiling lower than those other blokes
Youre not changing my mind on this
In other words....
'I've got no case...'
Of course you have.
It hard to accept you've been proven (very) wrong....
Pendlebury was, along with Swan and to some extent Travis Cloke, the driving force of a team who went 34-4 and 3 of those losses were to one side, and he did it averaging 30 touches and just under a goal, the sort of output that only Bontempelli has ever beaten goal-wise (never disposal wise).
Neale and Cripps have never been able to maintain it for more than a season and the other major areas like contested possessions etc are all marginal.
Claims like ‘Pendlebury didn’t ever have a high enough peak’ are revisionist.
And yet didn't win the AFLPA MVP or AFLCA Coaches Award, and had an average game in his team's Elimination Final when the game was over 10 minutes into the second quarter.Cripps just played the greatest season in the history of the AFL by a mile, so he's ahead by some distance.
What's the problem? Don't like it when someone else has a different opinion to you? You do realise that not everyone sings from the same songsheet as you and God help us if anyone dare not have a Collingwood player up the pecking order when they are ranked/assessed.
It's not surprising that a lot on here think you have a bad feel for the game and also poor at assessing ranking players.
Nice rants.Or it's a case of someone having a different opinion, which is something you consistently have a problem with. It's a reflection on you as a person that you're really not that good to debate with.
He had 31 & 1 with 16 CP lmao? And yet didn't win the AFLPA MVP or AFLCA Coaches Award, and had an average game in his team's Elimination Final when the game was over 10 minutes into the second quarter.
Go figure.
When posters state 'Pendlebury didn't have a high enough ceiling', they're rightly saying 'he was never considered the best player in the competition' - and they are right.Claims like ‘Pendlebury didn’t ever have a high enough peak’ are revisionist.
How did he perform when the game was on the line?He had 31 & 1 with 16 CP lmao?
Given his most prolific quarter that game was his 1st quarter id say just fine Fudge. How did he perform when the game was on the line?
And yet not a single coaches vote?Given his most prolific quarter that game was his 1st quarter id say just fine Fudge.
But please, continue your trolling...
While you assess games from the land of flying pigs and leprechaunsYou continue to assess games from a stats sheet.
Unfair on Cripps as Priddis and Wines have played in more winning finals. There should be a Cripps v Priddis v Wines thread
So if Cripps was so good in the Elimination Final, why did neither coach rate him in their top 5 players on the ground? While you assess games from the land of flying pigs and leprechauns
You're a smart man Fudge... I'm sure you can figure it outSo if Cripps was so good in the Elimination Final, why did neither coach rate him in their top 5 players on the ground?
No, you tell me.You're a smart man Fudge... I'm sure you can figure it out
