I'm old enough to rememember Richmond winning 5 flags between 1967 and 1980. The nauseating gloating and arrogance of their players, officials and supporters during that period was intolerable. Trust me, you wouldn't want to have to endure that again after only 37 years.

All fans get arrogant when their team is winning, when else would you expect them to get arrogant?

It is part of being a footy fan. Gloating, arrogance, nauseatingly cheering on your team.

You seriously think Geelong should have finals at KP ?

It is home state not home ground. Victorian clubs have been playing each other @ the G in finals for 100 years.

It is absolute madness this finals push for KP, an absolute joke.

Pretty much this, I've grown up with Richmond being the constant laughing stock of the AFL. Hasn't made me waver my support in any way, but my god it would be a change to be able to give it as hard as we've taken it.

I long for the good old days of the early noughties when I was confident, arrogant and a complete pain in the arse as a Lions supporter.

Now I am towntrodden, depressed and ever so polite and defensive.

Bring back the good old days!!

Then Geelong must re-locate to Melbourne, or disband. No point arguing about it, their time is up. We have a national competition and they were the competition's country representative for over 100 years. They rebuilt the stadium and when finished it will have a capacity of 40k, equal to that of Subiaco, more than the Gabba, Metricon and Spotless, but still not good enough to host finals? As a Geelong fan, i submit, get rid of them. I don't want to follow a team that has such disadvantages leveled at them looking at the future. I don't give a fat rats tossbag what anybody thinks on this, Adelaide played their 14th game at Adelaide Oval last week, Geelong played 7 for the entire year at KP, no wonder the Crows are playing off! If the ground won't be used for at least 9 home games and host finals then knock the bloody thing down and kick the Cats out! Geelong is 75km away, it is not a suburb of Melbourne. Times up.

Footy fans aren’t rational creatures—if they were, the comments section here on Big Footy wouldn’t be a putrid monument to human depravity and jealousy.
So obviously, we're all crazy....get rid of em', it will save me a lot of angst!

Adelaide. Can't see how anyone would want to deny them a premiership reward for all that club's gone through over the past few years. Oh, and **** the termite tigers.

You would change your tune about finals in Geelong once you played Collingwood or Richmond in a final and those clubs supporters purchase 30,000 tickets and Geelong 10,000.

There is the home advantage gone there.

Think about that for a second, you won't have your home and away reserved seats etc.

Finals are a clean stadium.

Adelaide are a bit "flag desperate" with their war stance during the national anthem. It's a bit unappealing and gives off an underachiever club vibe, but then you look at their opposition who are so flag desperate they need to assume they've already won it. So Adelaide for me.

This thread has taught me that Adelaide supporters are far better than Geelong and GWS supporters.

Absolutely unreal how salty everyone is at an Adelaide vs Richmond Grand Final.

I couldn't care less, play them in Geelong if they qualify. This is 2017. I own a Tele!

Goes to show you how human i am! What happens when you take a really kinky sex story and dress it up in a lot of flowery words? You get the Bible. Or large chunks of it, anyway. Big Footy isn't quite at that level of depravity yet! As for jealousy, i've worked in the music industry for a long time, holy knife in the back!
