Opinion New AFC HQ (Part 2): Family picnics on hiatus

I do recall that the last time you had a close look at the books you declared that the auditor stated we were “an ongoing concern” and sure enough we are still going.

You also said that there was no way that any bank would lend us money for a new facility.

Do you still stick by these comments?
I never mentioned “an ongoing concern”, if I did, I’m sure you could quote the post. This is about the 3rd time you’ve mentioned this without providing receipts. Care to? In fact, I’m pretty sure the first time I ever read “ongoing” was from you when you were trying to be smart.
Wait up, you telling me Ciao is making up stuff to troll you? Shame Jack Shame

Should only take a few days for council to issue full Dev Approval. Building docs are privately certified. Just admin work really.
Given how closely we had to work with council I wouldn't be surprised if it were done by Monday arvo.

Took a little bit longer to get BRC than the club thought it would but that's the big hurdle out of the way

I imagine Jack is referring to this exchange from 2020.

I have assumed nothing.

1970crow said the Auditors expressed concerns in the 2019 Annual Statement. I went back, carefully read the 2019 annual statements and the Auditors did not express any concerns. There was a note titled ONGOING CONCERN which correctly identifies that the AFC is an ongoing concern, a standard auditor’s statement.

This was part of the 1970crow fantasy that our financial situation is dire and the AFC is only refusing to go to the AFL for a loan because the AFC is trying to hide something. There are numerous problems at the AFC but our financial position is better than most other clubs (below West Coast, Richmond, Collingwood and Hawthorn but better than most or all of the other clubs).

1970crow has disappeared faster than JJ in the 2017 Grand Final.

So nothing then.

There will be value management as there always is. The officers might have a cheaper carpet tile. Maybe the floor to ceiling windows are reduced. Maybe they wallpaper some internal walls instead of natural imported oak.

8 mins so he could have just started with the finish, what a w***er

I get why people are nervous, but this will happen and it wont be compromised.

The Banks are essentially lending to the AFL anyway, my only concern is that the 2028 clause about shareholding in the club will be extended until the loan repayment term.

Basically it was a very long winded way of telling us what we already know which was very annoying as the club on July 1st had already told us that they are ‘on track to begin construction works towards the end of this year’.
Great way of getting people to tune into his radio show though.

As a former Board Member (of a golf club) with some type of accounting credentials I was shocked at your statement at the time. I immediately pointed out the difference between an auditor stating the AFC was an “ongoing concern” and your assertion that the auditor had expressed concerns about the AFC financial position. I have mentioned this at least half a dozen times and you have never responded (apart from deleting your post). In Trump-like fashion, after four years you are now stating your version of the Truth. Good for you sport.

You just need to look at the auditor statement that references pre-paid memberships, your answer is there. And please stop using the word 'ongoing', it's embarrassing. Your understanding of accounting is obviously severely limited if you can't even get that right.

When we move what will happen to our facility that we own at west lakes. My father in law is asking. I said I dunno assume developers buy it or sanfl.

Now we are making progress.

To close the loop, can you provide the original post that I responded to, or was it deleted?

Do you still maintain that the AFC did not seek the AFL guarantee because we wanted to avoid scrutiny from the AFL?

Do you still believe that there is no way that a bank will provide a loan to the AFC for a new facility.

Preferably respond without vilification (dullard, funny little guy, burger flipper), just the facts. As I requested 4 years ago, please quote the exact statement from the 2019 annual report where the auditor stated a concern regarding the financial situation of the AFC.

Are you once again accusing me of making stuff up.

I am always happy to provide the evidence. It’s fun watching you and 1970 attempt to double team me (or is it one team/two logins?).
Actually you’re not always happy to. You’ve made numerous claims against me which you haven’t been able to back up, but that doesn’t stop you continuing to make stuff up to troll, which you’ve just demonstrated with your reply to me.

But hey when you’ve admitted to trolling we shouldn’t expect anything less of you.

We will negotiate a lease transfer back to the owner who most likely will develop most if not all

They may decide some community space is needed but it will mostly be developed

We will have no further interest in the land

I'd imagine the SANFL will develop it for their state junior programs.

So we transfer the ownership of the building to the company that own the land. Do we get money for that as we spent heaps on that building

That will form part of the negotiation
