Extremely naive point of view. The difficulty with the MCG is its width. The difficulty with Kardinia park is its lack of width. Results at both venues support the fact it is difficult for visiting teams to adapt.

Subiaco used to be a problem because of its length. SCG for its lack of length. Same thing.

I think they should increase the size of the existing oval actually but they seem intent on replicating AO with that one.

Where has it been established that those are the reasons for those results?

Have been staying around the corner from Kings Reserve and been for a walk there every morning. I am yet to see a SINGLE other person on the Oval…even people walking next to the Oval have been few and far between. The gaul of the NIMBYs against this project is truly breathtaking…

What are you talking about? There is at least 200 people there at all times!

You don’t say, isn’t it meant to be packed with the local residents walking their dogs there in the morning!

I actually had never been to the reserve before so was keen to understand size / location etc. Honestly, it just looked like any other local park…the way that action group carried on you would have thought it was a mix between Central Park in New York and Hyde Park in London….development might actually mean the area gets used for once!

Now this is great creative thinking .....pity some other sporting organisations couldn't get creative, instead of treading the same old development path .....BORING !

Where is that?
I know Melb Victory wanted to build a base in Footscray Park but it got knocked back because, unlike Kings Reserve, lots of people use Footscray Park all the time
