I must admit im a little shocked by it all. Im not totally sure how i feel about his appointment. But im certainly willing to give him a go and hopefully time will tell that the board made the right decision.

He really was a great player at Tigerland and lets hope all those frustrating days as a player,manifest into a fiece desire to bring the next flag to WH.

I'm happy to have him as coach...what choice to we have?

what with essendon appointing richmond greats as coaches...

im not sure about this one..it could go either way...

would of loved to have bomber thompson. but i heard he had a meeting with the EFC sometime next week win or lose in the GF

hard to comment on this sorta stuff, but notwithstanding the fact there can be numerous factors, his coaching history is hardly what one would call impressive.

Very interested in the rational given.

outside of his SANFL/VFL history, has he ever done anything officially as an AFL assistant? My memory is failing me if he has...

I've never hated Knights. Thats a bit harsh. I actually felt sorry for the guy after all those dismal Richmond years as a captain and player. I used to admire his toughness. He could take a hammering.

Loyality kept him at RFC when he could've got a packet more some where else. He's a true Tiger...just like Sheeds.


Beware the little man (Knights) who wants to prove a point....

Must say I'm relieved not to lose Dimma but Knights, I believe, is not the best choice given what is out there. Only time will tell...
