Neither Port nor Fremantle wear the letter V.Port used the V after Victoria, and then the next year Fremantle borrowed the V again... is that a blatant copy?
Or does that only apply to Essendon?

But they weren't proper football uniforms. They were cricket shirtsMelbourne wore uniforms first, as far as I'm concerned, every other team should be playing naked!
No, but they use a V.Neither Port nor Fremantle wear the letter V.
Adidas were once the best at keeping a jumper perfect, and then....At least we have never changed the shape of our sash, Essendon since the puma days have not had a proper sash.
The first Adidas sash was horrible, and this one is almost as bad.

That's pretty cool, and it'd be a minute change if so... where'd you read that, SA?So Essendon are going to honour a different legend every two years. Does this mean the club will alter the design every so often?
Hate to break it to you mate, but no you don't. And probably biased, because I feel Carlton's home is one of the classiest in the AFL, which I can admit is a biased opinion of mine. We've got the best kit in the league now, which I'm sure wouldn't just be a biased outlook, and either way this absolutely smashes that putrid mega-sash design.
You'd think they will, they have to sell the new ones.So Essendon are going to honour a different legend every two years. Does this mean the club will alter the design every so often?

The jumper looks alright I guess. I'm just not sure how this will help in a clash with St Kilda?? I guess it wont be as bad as the Richmond-Adelaide clash I suppose..
As far as I'm concerned, our sash is the only real sash in the league and we own it.
Richmond's is a blatant copy. And it wasn't even a direct copy either, it was an alteration of four previous jumpers with stripes in all different directions (obviously couldn't think of something good) that came well after each club's inception into the league we know today.
Essendon's first jumper was PLAIN NAVY BLUE - they adopted the sash after 2 years so they looked different to other teams. They don't own it.
Richmond's first ever jumper in 1885 was a sash. They reverted to a sash during the 1910s.
