Couldn't agree with you more. Last season people were saying Cotton On had done a good job and produced "inoffensive" gear, but I beg to differ. The placement of the hoops was slightly off. I feel like they moved them all down, so there was too much white space beneath the COAR logo at the collar, and the Ford logo sat too low on the back. This year looks even worse with just the Ford wordmark because there it just accentuates the amount of white. Also, just look at the gap between the AFL and Ford logos on the front of Ablett's jumper! You mentioned the poor fit of the shorts which is true, and the little contrasting patch on the side looked like it was just there for the sake of it. Looked really out of place. All round its just... not great.
The hoops are basically in the same place, relative to arm holes and the placement from top of the jumper down .
It's the uber-tight collars that Silent mentions that make them look lower.
The ISC jumpers had White shoulders, and the collar extended from the top past a Blue hoop and into the next White hoop.
But these tighter collars only make it to the bottom of the Blue hoops, giving the hoops the appearance of being lower..

When I traced the ISC jumper from 2016 it came out like the first one.
Tracing the Cotton On jumpers they are the second.
The hoops are the same, but the collar changes the look.

Also those commenting on the Cotton-On remember they are retail edition they are wearing and no where near fitted properly.

Let’s wait till they are worn in a game

I doubt it, they were the same last year too. They're just out of their depth with AFL jumpers because the people designing it are probably the same who do graphics for t-shirts or sports bras.

The jumpers look so.... long?

I really hate their hoop and logo placement. They changed from COAR to Cotton On to be recognised more and you can barely see the logo hiding just under the collar anyway. Could have at least placed it a touch lower down.

They've put thought into it as there's so little carry over from ISC to Cotton On, especially this season with the Ford logo changing. They clearly wanted the top to look tidy, which is why the collar hits the top hoop perfectly and the Cotton On is so high. That in turn gives a blank space between the next rung of thing (the AFL logo, the Ford, the Cats crest). It's made a huge empty hoop and that too makes it feel weird.

They just need to make the top hoop finish higher and it'd look a lot cleaner. But then you'd be adding more hoops I guess. It's just a really really shit cut and the tight but sort of low flung, yet chunky collar has a lot to do with it.

I wasn't a fan laat year and a lot of people here said they liked it and to give it a go so it's interesting to see people are turning away

Ah the 90s and early 2000s, was the beginning of the end of decent pop music.

Kids these days will never have any idea, too much talentless crap. Much like the AFL.

Edited for accuracy.

Carlton are set to have a blue jumper with a white monogram
and a strong rumour the crows will have blue, red and yellow hoops
Essendon will be in a black jumper with a Red sash, while Gold Coast will be wearing a guernsey honouring the People's Republic of China.
