There's a reason we haven't announced it all yet. We don't know why but this is similar to the Fagan and Walsh appointments - everyone is guessing and trying to fill in the blanks because there are no leaks. I am prepared to be patient. Under the previous administration we'd be deliberately leaking and sucking up to certain media identities for favorable stories. We don't operate that way now.

Also, we don't have to publicly announce our coach in order to secure trades. We can still discuss with prospective players/managers that we have our coach, and name him, but explain that we haven't announced it due to XYZ.

Thats what I am thinking, Pyke could have had some suggestions who wanted to bring in.

Posters here are questioning the delay in making an announcement.

Scenario:
Crows are doing what they said, and sticking to a process.
Wait for WC to finish before formal talks with Pyke.
Go and talk to Caracella again to compare with Pyke.
Both candidates still in the mix.
Crows announce next week, just like they said they would.

Don would have returned from Perth on Sunday, couple of days to shake the season out of his system and then a 2-3 days to prepare for his presentation.

IMO the process will conclude by end of the weekend with an announcement around Tuesday next week

I've had similar feelings for a while.

But a few posters claiming that pyke is a done deal has swayed me a bit.
