What about Watts.
From what I saw, I would love to snare Hartlett for Richmond

About a week ago all i wanted out of this draft was DANIEL RICH.

Now he is still my number one priority but sh*t if we get Adam Hartlett i will be equally as pleased.
Unless Freo come out with soem amazing winning run in the last 7-8 weeks of the season it is nearly safe to say we should have one of Naitnui, Rich or Hartlett unless of course we decide to overlook the amazingly talented SA boy and take a local.
Will be pissed if we do.
K, straight trade: Pav for Adam.

But nah really, HAMISH looked damn good today.

Did everyone think Hartlett was going to go top 5 before today?
Or has his performance vs NSW lifted his position?

Wizard to his credit has been bringing him up on the Freo boards for a while now. Countering talks of us looking at Yarran.

First time I've been able to see him obviously, but he looks a complete package. Ready to roll. :thumbsu:

I suppose it depends on what team is drafting at 4 and 5 I would think Watts, Rich and Nick Nat would go 1, 2 and 3 to Melbourne, West Coast and Fremantle If Port draft 4th they may over look Hartlett for a KPP and if Essendon finished 5th I expect they would do the same. I would be very happy to take Hartlett if Rich and Nick Nat are gone.

I watched Rich today
He rarely tackles , can deliver the ball , wont run too far and hardly helps his team mates and looks for the easy ball.

I like Banner and Hartlett before him and about 10 others .

Agree that Rich showed some disappointing attributes but general kicking is better than what he showed today. Alos with you on Hartlett being ahead of him.

Banner well below them - wouldn't even discuss him in the same category.

Blease as an Outside midfielder / winger should now be discussed in the same quality as these blokes.

Well based on todays game how can Banner be well below them when he clearly outclassed Rich today. 28 disposals and 2 goals, next highest ball winners were 26, then 22..

Banner is up there with these boys.

Watched him closely. Seems to be a good inside player who didn't play that way. Was obviouslytold not to bother picking up a man, so he should have accumulated possessions. With an inconsistent and not a real penetrating kick and lack of real pace I'd like to see him stand out as an inside midfielder.

"head to head" but not "man on man". But I guess we see less and less of that in AFL football anyway.

As a coach I'd probably prefer 10 Rich possessions than 20 of Mitch's.

Kicked a goal from 50+ out, 5 rows back into the stands.. Not a real penetrating kick???

No, I was not lying. Saying that he kicked a goal "5 rows back", doesn't necessarily mean that it was kicked exactly 5 rows back. It is simply a figure of speech often used by commentators when a player doesn't just make the distance, but makes it with ease.

Exaggerating, then.
I know what commentators say, I'm not a moron.

the best 5 mids are:

T.Swift
Rich
Ziebell
M.Robinson
Hartlett

in no order, ziebell is 188 cm and can be a versatile player remimds me of Hird/Buckley has great leadership qualities at on the field
